Re: Tolle was right, you can't talk about this...

I don't think Eckhart meant specifically that "you can't talk about this", that's probably taken out of context. He probably meant that verbalizing it is difficult, or that speaking about it can cater to the ego in some cases, but not always, it depends on the intention behind it. There is no right ...

OK, sounds good.

You are fortunate to have found the truth, it's a lot to be grateful for... that goes for all of us here.

OK You wrote: I would like to continue to I reach a point of stability, not some state of bliss or anything like this, just a stable peaceful state so can integrate back into life. Thanks again for your message. It's no reflection on you personally, but there are very subtle ways that the ego can us...

Re: Experiencing Psychosis and now on Retreat using ET Methods

Hello D Jazz It sounds to me that you are trying to reach a state or maintain a state or experience, one that is more pleasant. But don't sweat it, nearly everyone goes through that. As Tolle has said: "you are never more in control than when you give up control". I believe it was Joseph Campbell wh...

"So who was Jesus Christ?"

No matter what the story is, it's still the One.

Thanks Andy, I enjoyed that.

Re: Help with tinnitus

I get it from time to time, usually low grade, but once in a while it gets loud, I've noticed it's worse when I feel under stress. I researched it and found that I think 90% of people have a little tinnitus, it's believed to be a symptom of a modern noisy civilization. I avoid loud continuous noises...

Re: What is the most direct way to realize "I" does not exist?

I don't want to call it a method because as you say, there must be a willingness. If there is, the method is irrelevant. If there is not, the method is irrelevant. If there is not willingness to see the truth, the courtroom drama will play out according to whatever the intention is. It may be a pla...

Your welcome ZenStrat, And I'll add that sciences like chemistry and biology have many useful and practical applications, they're not to be dismissed. Having some doubts is fine, and it's actually better not to just accept something as true unless you have experienced it as true, had the realization...

Re: Clarity and Illusion

Well said WW, I especially resonated with this part: I feel we owe each other our deepest respect for the courage and willingness to put life as we know it at risk to explore what most of the world would tell us is nonsense I'll add something I posted earlier in another thread: In our typical view o...

Hey ZenStrat Many good points have been made here already by billyb, Amorbis, Kutso, 18andlife, Quinn and Hanss. I would suggest rereading those comments and reflecting on them in relaxed silence. The teachings that you refer to are not meant to be statements of facts to be reasoned through with log...

Re: Sick of this

I fully understand where you are coming from. I think you are at a crossroads here. It is very common for those beginning to awaken to experience anxiety and fear, we could say that is often part of the wake up call. You can choose to accept it even welcome it fully, and perhaps see it as your doorw...

Re: Sick of this

Beautifully put Kiki, you said some things I was thinking and then some. Midnight, I'm reminded of this quote once again from Kim Eng, Eckhart's partner, she is also a teacher: "People have often expressed to me their desire to awaken just as Eckhart had in one swift night. I can only tell you, for ...
