Re: What does it mean to meditate on your own form?

Does this go along with this topic? Not sure...but earlier today before I read this I was thinking on how I am not the body. Various intellectual reasons ( I say that because not sure I have been able to feel it -I have had "foreign" feelings though) But I get if I lose a limb it doesn't take away f...

Re: No existence in any form after death?

I'll add a few words. In my experience, the concepts of reincarnation and karma no longer hold any real truth to them. Nothing transmigrates from one body to another when this body breaks down, no personality or memory persists because they were created uniquely in that brain through it's own uniqu...

Re: anyone?

2 things that pop in my thoughts all the "time" that my mind wants to get a grip on our time and death. Just last night I had a sort of moment where it hit me... If we didn't have clocks, calendars, society saying this is this day and time, holidays to mark dates, etc would we fit more into the pres...

Re: Exposing the affair

Good you are "doing" something. My other post was kind of a knee jerk reaction and I am not as "wise" or present as others on the board so please take what I say as more coming out of mind...lol Your husband continues to go on how ever he does, and you seem to be waiting for him to open his eyes or ...

Re: Exposing the affair

We are back at trying to change him...I say we as a general statement...I feel this as things I have manipulated or not accepted. Your "story" cries out..ACCEPT HIM THE WAY HE IS. And then make your life decision from there. He doesn't "seem" to have the problem (he lives his life) It is you not acc...

Re: guiltless but projecting reality

o I have to say that I will probably have to learn to live with the pain because I cannot control my thinking, This line in your post stuck out for me. I have been married for a while now but have dealt with some of the things you are going through, but not at this time, it was when I was younger. ...

Re: Role Playing (Please Help Guys!)?

I am kind of opposite of your situation. I 'now" find it a little easier to communicate with people. I was shy, stood back, afraid to talk, and always analyzing the situation...now I try to say to myself when I feel I am getting too caught up...non-judgement, non-resistance and non-attachment. I sti...

Re: What clicked for you

I love this post! Cause all my life I have tried to "become" a better person then fall apart...vicious circle:( EGO was the wrong way to try:)) One thing that really worked for me was Jed McKenna. After a few years of trying to improve myself and my lifestyle and so on. It was great to realize... En...

Re: How goes your days

My days are similar to Robins. I am becoming more "aware" when I get caught up in thought or ego but still haven't quite stepped into another realm...lol. But it does seem to help to recognize all this and not give up and be depressed. I have been "practicing" just listening to see where it takes me...

Re: Relating with Others

I agree with Shappy on this idea of acceptance. Acceptance requires effort just as rejecting does, and reinforces the notion of a separate me that can accept or reject. Yet the practice of acceptance has value, it is like a simulated pointer, we could compare it to training wheels on a bike, eventu...
