Re: Practicing No-Mind in a Mind-dominant everyday life?

Hi androushka and welcome to the forum. Whatever you do, you are always in the now. It is impossible to just check presence at the door before you enter your place of employment and pick it back up again when you leave work. What you truly are is immovable, non-changing and present, never leaving. F...

Re: Are Alzheimer patiënts very awake ?

I volunteered with Alzheimer’s people in a health care facility a few years ago. I remember feeling a joy when I left after my visits. Their human form is the way it is, but all I remember is the love and stillness that I saw in most of their eyes. Some talked, some didn’t. I was just content being ...

Reflections of the One Life - Scott Kiloby

Scott has a great new book out - daily pointers. A one page reading for each day of the year. He is a very down to earth, unassuming guy with very simple and clear pointers. I don't always follow the days, because that keeps me time bound, but just randomly open it and read whatever day jumps out at...

Re: confusion

I’ve had those ah-ha moments but they used to be more on a conceptual level, like I was riding a wave on the ocean, then I’d fall off. I’d remember it for awhile but it would fade unless I kept the story up. When I experience direct realization it is something I cannot describe fully with words. It'...

Re: Wake Up Now - Stephan Bodian

I love this book and glad it found me. I especially like how he talks about embodiment and living after the “shift”. It’s very supportive for those like me who still get stuck every once in a while.

Re: Does The WRONG action ever happen?

An action is just that – an action. The mind tries to label it as right or wrong. In my experience, if I plan a course of action and it seems “wrong” then life somehow, someway “corrects” it and I’m where I need to be, I can’t be anywhere else anyways. Let life be what it is in all its mystery and b...

Re: "Reality"

This makes me sad to think that James might not post again and my first thought was “Who’s sad? There is nobody here to be sad.” Then I felt even sadder. Ok, so it’s my ego/little me or whatever and I know this is all sensing mind, finite stuff but maybe I’ve just overdosed on the Absolute reading l...

Re: When NOW isn't actually good?

Hi Learner, this might not be directly related to your question but the following is from A New Earth "The recognition that This, too, will pass brings detachment and with detachment another dimension comes into your life - inner space. Through detachment, as well as nonjudgment and inner nonresista...

Re: Consciousness Is All- Now Life Is Completely New

Thanks, James, for the website link. I'm still making my way through this book too. It is so profound and deep that I can only absorb a little at a time, but even Peter says it's not a quick read. I actually find some of the repetitious nature of this book helpful to "sink in". It is really amazing ...

Re: Blushing

I can relate, I used to be so “self-conscious” about blushing, I seemed to blush at anything, someone could just look at me and I’d blush. It seemed the more uncomfortable I was, the greater I blushed. I still blush easily and probably always will, I have no control over that but so what, I blush, d...

Re: emotions

Andy and karmarider – thank you both so much for your suggestions. I am familiar with “the work” and I sensed some resistance in doing this again, I could hear my mind trying to tell me I should be beyond techniques. So I did the four questions around that – I should be beyond techniques – and that ...

Re: emotions

This post relates to my question so I will post here rather than starting a new topic. I have been feeling emotions lately that seem to be hanging around. I am aware of my emotions following my thoughts. I usually use what ET describes as “transparency” in letting the thoughts and feelings pass thro...

Re: Counselors/Social workers/Spiritual Teachers.. I need advice

The concept of "spiritual bypassing" is very real what do you mean by "spiritual bypassing"? My mind (yes, still with me ) has always been very skeptical and yet not rigid, with right-brain ready to resonate. Do you think a love of books means skepticism for you? I am curious because I love books a...
