Having a hard time with a close friend.
I have something going on that's similar to the subtle traps post. A person whom I am very close to hurts my feelings fairly often when it comes to me talking about this subject that we all talk about on this forum. I know What I am without any doubt but as Adya says you can know that everything is ...

Re: Basic needs versus ego
I see the "pull" as everything because What I am is Everything. Whether it's blissful or painful. When I sit on a park bench and clear the mind, I am present, What you are is always present, without question. It's never moving yet moves everything. It doesen't take a week or a year. What You are is ...

Thanks Kiki, I think I've got the hang of it now.

Re: Lesson in fixating
I love your post, thank you. I wish I knew how to quote only the lines I want to reiterate on this site. The ego wasen't so subtle right after the realization but it seemed to calm way down to the point it was almost getting away with the fixation, I do know better, but it was obviously unconscious....

Re: Seeing from the perspective of the Infinite.
Thanks Bjorn, I appreciate your reply. It's funny that you mention this because I was talking exactly about basically catching myself subtley(sp) wanting to hide in the absolute as you put it. I wrote down what I was realizing deeply today to not fixate. I put it in personal experiences I think it i...

Lesson in fixating
Today I had something really sink in. I talked about this in another post so forgive please. I recently had this realization that I posted under questions called seeing from the infinite. Since that realization I tried to rest as What I am. But when it got down to it I realized I was trying to hold ...

Re: Basic needs versus ego
You know I see what you are talking about and it makes me think of what has had my attention all day today. That to fixate on something can really block that flow. Like a huge realization for example, it feels real good and we tend to want to stay there. We fixate and try real hard and what does tha...

Re: A glimpse
Rest as what you have realized you are. The only thing that has happened since the other night has been a fleeting experience today, it is very hard to put it into words though. It was a feeling of what we truly are - what everything truly is - and as I looked about me I had to wonder what was I thi...

This recording is one of my favorites. I'm sure I will be listening again just for that Christmas feel.

Re: Basic needs versus ego
I love this question so I couldn't resist. You are consciousness are you not : ) so consciousness doesen't take over, you are already it. So don't make it hard. Consciousness moving is as simple as consciousness/you getting up out of that chair whenever consciousness decieds to do that. It is the fl...

Re: Fear of Awareness
What I am is consciousness/presence/ truth/ultimate reality and What I am is Everything form and not form. So what I am is also fear. It is consciousness experiencing itself as fear. Once we can sense that which is in us, in Everything, including fear, fear takes a step back in my experience. What w...

Re: A glimpse
That's wonderful. I'll be curious to read your posts in the future as this sinks in. Maybe you can stop being soul seeker if you wanted, because you might have realized there is no sense in seeking what you already are.

Re: social anxiety question
I have not caught up on all of the replys so forgive if I repeat something already said. I use to have problems socializing with people. I tried for at least 12 years to be in the moment with people so "I" (now I realize the ego) would not do something I would regret etc.. What I realized about two ...
