Re: Is this site another way for the ego to avoid awakening?

Using WW's favorite word, there are two ways to increase clarity:
1. Silence
2. Extensive focused discussion
The first one is the best, but difficult to implement for groups of people, especially on the web.
IMO, the second approach is successfully used on this site.

Re: Non-Dualism

While we are at it we can throw some other non dual concepts or beliefs onto the pile. We could call this first one Psuedo Advaita. You may hear the term there is only This . Is what's being referred to as This, have an opposite such as that? (Dualism). ................... The word die is useful as...

Here you can find a humorous "non-human" "beyond-ego" point of view on The Secret:

Re: Is There Any Truth To It?

That's a good night's sleep, HL. Nevertheless, waking up that early shows that you enjoy life! Regarding the Law of Attraction, a shift to a different point of view may help: if "what it is" is what we "actually wish for", then the LOA is working continuously for everybody, as HL said. What if every...

Re: Is There Any Truth To It?

Good morning, HL.
You seem to be waking up really really early! More time for you to enjoy the human experience.
I'm sure you are able to manifest a short night sleep because you enjoy everything so much!

Re: Fear of Flying

Kiki's story is very good indeed. This story is a more readable and enjoyable version of a Tibetan saying. I'm sure you all know this saying, but I'm repeating it for "discussion purposes." "If the problem can be solved, there is no use worrying about it. If it can't be solved, worrying will do no g...

Re: Be Still and Know That I am God

I found another translation (or interpretation) of the title quote, which may be clearer - at least regarding the verbs:
Be still and know you're God within.

Re: Isn't Enlightenment Really Just a Brain Trick?

You might want to check out the noted analyst, Carl Jung's writings, he delves a lot into the collective unconscious, dreams and symbols in the human psyche. You needn't believe his theories, but his work for me was fascinating, and began to open my consideration to other possibilities. Find out fo...

Re: Why do anything?

No. Assuming there is a thinker thinking the thoughts is ego. Interesting. But who is assuming there is a thinker thinking? No who. It is a illusion created by the thinking mind. Very good analogy with the illusion of a solid circle - Thank you Eric. However, my question is: Who/what is watching th...

Re: Awakening and Children

Very good question, indeed. When it comes to spirituality, children are at least as good as us at making decisions. Just don't try to force a certain view on life. I would suggest to ask gentle questions from time to time, such as "Why do you think we are here on Earth?" "Why do we do the things we ...
