Re: What is communication?

Well, thanks for getting back anyway. It's still sort of confusing. You're part of my imagination, so why do I communicate with you? It's like I'm looking for an answer where it can't be found. Ahh no problem imagination is wonderful..a little hint you cannot find something that you already have it...

Re: Living vs. Being Present; Thinking about Present/Past/Future

That's just it...we do not think about the present. Thought can not touch the present moment...you can only think about a split second ago or a split second to come...never the present...the now. When you are truly present...you are not thinking at all. That is the way I always experience it to be ...

LOL Sorry it was meant as a joke if you went that long with no water you would be dead so all the illusion is gone..I know bad humor!

Re: Does becoming ego-less have socially negative effects?

isn't forward thinking wondering and planning of possible behaviour when this or that changes more of the same mind/ego involvement in our "path"? Is this what's called the "enlightenment of the ego" itself? these thoughts of "how will my relationships be?"can't exist in the present or at least the...

Re: Loss of interests with new found inner peace

Hi everyone. A particular question has me searching for your opinions/experiences... Eckhart's pointers have completely healed every flawed thought and habit of my consciousness. A ceaseless and complete peace and joy have settled here, and it seems now that it can never be any other way. To say th...

Re: What is communication?

What is the purpose of communication when everything I see in the world is a product of my own mind's perception? Why should I phone someone, when they're ultimately an illusion? Who said you should phone someone? Why do anything? If you sit there for 3 or 4 days and do nothing no drinking water no...

Re: how does a short-lived enlightenment experience affect you?

I just finished a book called "Awakening to the Dream: The Gift of Lucid Living." There's a chapter called "Blinded by the Light" that hit home with me. Here's a part from the chapter: Anyone here have an "experience?" If so, how did the "experience" affect you? I guess what I really want to know i...

Re: Friends.

I'm just wondering, will I ever meet people who share my awareness and understanding about the truth of life, will life send me people to share my awareness with? Find out. Can there be acceptance whichever way it turns out? If you knew nobody else would show up what would be the result? The fact i...

Re: John Lennon

Someone mentioned him as a visionary in another thread. I love "Imagine" but I really don't know much about his music, sadly. Is it possible that he entered an awakened state of being? Did his music/life take a sudden and divergent path? I am suddenly curious now, lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: Is Eckhart FULLY realized?

There is only the realization that occurs in which all seeking vanishes. There can be true freedom with an 'I' still there because the 'I' only binds when it is considered real. When the realization that the ego is a mirage and the Self is realized...then whatever remains of the "I" is no longer pr...

Re: Who here is fully enlightened?

I really agree the word fully does make a limit to enlightenment. I believe that everyone on the face of the earth has had experiences in awakening without exceptions. I believe that many just do not see it for what it is when it happens. It is really no big deal, think about this way if our real r...
