Re: Is the Eckhart Tolle Discussion Forum an Oxymoron?

"Presence", "Awareness", "Oneness" are an experience beyond words, and this is the view of Eckhart, the Zen Masters et al. Also it is beyond the mind. Based on this, is there a certain irony in having an Eckhart discussion group ? And a bigger irony that many posts are as long and as analytical as ...

Re: Stages of Growth

Do you not see that I say the same exact thing? To be rid of self ignorance is to be enlightened? I can be enlightened about many things so it's no big deal. Enlightenment I'm saying is different. It's the actual living of What we are. That's where I see the moment to moment come into play. Yup tha...

Re: Good Representation of Now?

If you can, go to a place where there are lots of people, a busy place. For me, this is usually the high street (main street) of my nearest town. Now, when you are looking at everyone, imagine a neon green cord connecting us all. Sort of like a web. No matter where anyone walks, whether they are ru...

Re: Stages of Growth

I see what you are saying and I thought the same thing for a while now. But I see enlightenment (moving from what we are) as different than awakening. Thats OK Enlightenment as a word can mean many different things and can be correct in all its meanings. I simply see it as when someone awakens they...

Re: Fixation

Randji you are very smart, have had many experiences, and write very well to many of the different teachings that you have studied for a very long time. I agree with you about being attached to teachings themselves. It does seem though that some people want to criticize and pick away at signposts o...

Re: Stages of Growth

Hi Randji, What you said is my original point if you go back and see. That awakening is just that "Knowing Self". I see that as the definition of enlighten, to be rid of self ignorance in this case. You can never forget once you wake up. But one can still be a jerk to other beings and the earth etc...

Re: Good Representation of Now?

Thank you DWBH1953. I realised some grammar mistakes (I just wrote that off the top of my head) but hopefully it makes sense 8) Well do not ask me my grammar is by far the worst in the group here. You know you can do a lot with visuals, the only limit is your imagnation. For example when someone aw...

Re: Good Representation of Now?

Hi guys, http://s5.tinypic.com/28im5wg.jpg As you can see, no matter what goes in throughout life, it is always this moment. Imagine (as the picture shows) a film real, being dragged from the right hand side. The point at NOW is always this present moment, the activity inside the moment may change,...
Hi Randji, I like what you had to say. It's always good to hear in different ways. This thread did help me. Writing things and reading helped hash it out a bit more. What I resonate with is: /quote] Hi Monica, It is even more simple than what BK is saying. Awakening as I have said so m...
Adya is one big faker! You see your quote above? Re: Fixation

I think John Welwood said something along the lines of the ego gets anxious about the open nature of our being. This is such an inaccurate way of speaking! There is no 'ego'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's amazing that so much nonsense can be written by so-called proffessionals and people keep perpetuating th...

Re: A good descpiption of awakening

"Awakening" is simply the acceptance of the possibility that "existance" involves more than the consciousness of mind/body/universe. No description is necessary. Neti-Neti It is more than this at least from my own awakening. It is direct seeing, knowing that there never was a seperate self called R...
