Most spiritual teachers don't give precise or detailed answers. They don't feed the ego.

Re: Cell Phones!

I don't own one either. Same here. I only bought it for when I was riding my bike, but it's been sitting unused and uncharged for nearly 2 years. I suppose it's probably wise to get it working again for the upcoming riding season since I ride in some pretty remote bear country. How about the comput...

Re: My dad - The One True Issue

Learner, I totally understand you. I know it's a very crazy thing to tell you, but your father might be the best thing that has ever happened to you. He is the one that will help you awaken simply because he is the only person that affects your life so strongly. One advice I give you is : try Byron ...

Re: Wanting to change

How do you know that you don't like a particular state or feeling? If you're like m,e it's either a thought or an emotion that you feel in your body. Instead of looking away from that energy, face it. Watch it. Try to know it. It's not easy to face our emotions, but that's the only efficient way I k...

Re: Fear of talking in front of people

Hi Onthepath, Could you please tell me more about the Sedona technique? Did you use it before? Do you know any one who had success with it? It sounds very interesting. I'm thinking about buying the book. Love! Hi Illushka, I have been using the Sedona Method for more than a year now and I still use...

Re: Fear of talking in front of people

Hi Illushka, First off, let me tell you that your English is excellent! How is that for an ego booster :D There are plenty of methods out there that help you embracing your shyness if I dare call it so. Three methods have been very helpful to most people who tried to accept and why not change their ...

Re: Awakening

Of all the books I read about the description of awakening, I found Byron Katie's Thousands Names of Joy the most helpful as far as details go. It gives the details that every ego needs to know about awakening. All the questions that we ask ourselves about the life of an awakened person are more or ...

Re: Awakening

I beg to differ here. Many teachers who related their awakening didn't feel like they were skinned alive. That's just one experience. Jed McKenna's experience.

Re: Immobile.

Yes, the tracks are so soothing that we might fall asleep when we listen to them at night as the body and the mind become so relaxed. Try to devote half an hour a day to observing your energy. If you notice tremendous sadness, don't label it as such. Just observe it.

Re: Immobile.

Peaceofmind, you are in the right direction. For the first time you are allowing your emotions to come up. Usually we either suppress them or express them. Now you are observing them. They seem scary at first, but once you keep watching them again and again, they begin to appear as they are: just em...

Re: Immobile.

You do have resistance to work or act. Try one experience now. Just say to yourself " I have to do something. I can't just sit doing nothing" and observe your resistance to action which will manifest as heavy energy somewhere in your body. And if you look closely, you will find that you also have re...

Re: Immobile.

Peaceofmind, I honestly don't see any awakening in your experience. Where is the joy of living in the present moment? When you are fully present, really accepting, allowing your experience to unfold moment by moment, peace and joy come up naturally. If you don't feel peace and joy right now, somewhe...
