Arjuna Ardagh

great2be posted an illuminating story from Arjuna Nick Ardagh, so I thought I would post this anecdote I read by him on http://daily.finerminds.com/mind/awaken ... al-growth/ . At the end of the piece is a link to an audio meditation. Enjoy.

Re: Is meditation necessary to awaken?

I go by Krishnamurti on meditation. He essentially said that being aware through the whole day is meditation. Tolle may say being present instead of being aware. The sit-down, close-your-eyes meditation does have some benefits, the same benefits as yoga, good nutrition, good sleep, and love have, bu...

Re: Do you ever get tempted to seek yet more and more?

I did. I do understand your sentiment: once I had read PON, what more is there to know? The technique of "being present" didn't work for me; and in the seeking "Tolle plus" I discovered what works for me is a combination of Awareness and Release, and soon after that the effort of seeking and accumul...

Re: Byron Katie & Sedona Method

I recommend the Sedona Method and Byron Katie on my website. I can see how Byron Katie's method may work for many; for me it was too much analysis. The release technique of the Sedona Method is great! I avoided the Sedona method for a long time because of the insistent marketing, and one day I read ...

Re: An Invitation

Shappy, very nicely put. Your words are very helpful at at certain point in awakening. In my experience, the effort of "seeking" was necessary to realize that the effort is not needed. It was quite a relief: no more reading, learning, accumulating, blogs, books, meditation...the love affair with all...

Hello from Florida

I'm karmarider. Tolle's Power of Now got me started about five years ago, and I am eternally grateful for that. Awakening is a continuing verb, and I see it as an ever-deepening process. What's worked best for me is that two-step dance of awareness and release. It has helped me experience the presen...
