Re: Two views

Definitely door #1: To enjoy the human perspective.

I'm reminded of Nisargadatta:

“Love says 'I am everything.' Wisdom says 'I am nothing.' Between the two, my life flows.”

Re: Introduction, help with Eckart's ideas

It's been a long time since I've read the Power of Now and I'm summarizing it from memory, and of course this is from my point of view: 1. Human suffering for the most part is optional, and it is the result of the unconscious identification we have with the mind (thoughts, emotions, beliefs and so o...

Well said.

Re: True Enlightenment

Judgment is never necessary and harm is mostly not necessary. Mostly. Sometimes we have to be who we don't want to be to be what we want to be. It's fine and validating to take the intellectual position that violence is never necessary, but that's a position of separating ourselves from real human l...

Re: If my process of awakening has not begun - what then?

... Tolle's advice about not identifying with thoughts and time sometimes help me to disengage from negative thoughts and worry less about future and past. It has begun for you. But as soon as he gets into more spiritual things, he loses me. That's good. Stay with the truth of your experience. In m...

Re: I would like to be like E.T

Why can`t this hapen to me? I would really like to not feel like shit any more why is this happening to some just as is and it seems I would have to do so much hard stuff to get inner peace. I started this journey with a reading of ET's PON and I felt this way for several years. It felt this journe...

Re: Inner body work - benefits and experiences

Hi Grant, IN my experience, 1. Eckhart Tolle's suggestion to bring attention to the inner body is a good start. 2. I've been two sessions of Vipassana Meditation retreats ( dhamma.org). This meditation is to bring attention to the sensations in the body. It helps train attention and increase sensiti...

Jason, get help.

The dissonance you project is loud and conspicuous. You are beginning to notice it yourself.

Seems to me that's the one, possibly the only thing, we do know.

Re: Karma, fate, free will

Hehe, if AM-ness is a belief for you guys that's kinda cute. Your dismissiveness is kinda cute too, especially in light of your own statement of the essence of I AM being "in my view". Yes, true, I was dismissive. Sorry about that. I'm not suggesting that I Am is 'just' a belief. Well, it did seem ...

Re: Karma, fate, free will

Hehe, if AM-ness is a belief for you guys that's kinda cute. That cannot change the logical certainty that it is absolute and not a belief. Existence is not a belief. Nonexistence is a logical impossibility. If you believe AM-ness is a belief then there is something which believes that delusion ther...

Re: Karma, fate, free will

That's not conclusive. What is, except in our own beliefs? I-AM. I-AM is conclusive, definite and absolute (in my view), and it implies that "I exist" and "I am aware". Everything else, as far as I can tell, is a belief. No one said anything about "...the more advanced...". Egoic perspective is not...

Re: Is meditation a healing process ?

Makes sense. Meditation generally is self-observation, and in my experience, becoming more conscious, becoming clearer, moving away from fear and towards love--this has been a process of observation (meditation) and letting go (unblocking) and self-honesty. The last Jung quote has been important in ...

Re: Karma, fate, free will

I see that we, in our ego perspective, have enough free will in this human experience to lock the door of our own perception, and to blind ourselves to the awareness that we did so. To some, this condition seems to suggest that there is no free will. WW That's not conclusive. The delusion of free w...
