Re: Depression, Anxiety

Living in the here and now has certainly helped me deal with anxiety and depression. I've had OCD all my life and in the last couple of years I've felt a lot less anxiety. Mainly because I stopped fighting it and started allowing it to be in the now. The more I resist it, the more I suffer. It surp...

Re: Who here is fully enlightened?

I'm not trying to bait anyone. I am just curious. And is there anyone we know of that became enlightened (other than ET's partner) by reading and studying Eckhart? Fully Enlightened means becoming a Buddha in Buddhism and becoming a Avatar in Hinduism. There is no equivalent in Monotheism religion....

Re: No one I know is living in the now...

For a long time I measured people around me with the personal moral standard I measured myself. It brought me misery because I often felt others were not up to the standard. I had wished people around me to be more honest and less selfish. I had been feeling lonely since I was able to make moral jud...

Re: Manifesting from Pure Awareness

From non-duality perspective, Intention and the intended are one and the same in essence if such essence exists. If there is no manifesting validity to the intended, one will be sourly disappointed. For example from linear time perspective, one may intend to experience complete awakening in this li...

Re: Presence and Awareness-How long does it take?

It took me seemingly long time about 16 years. During this period, I jointed two organized religion, I was a Buddhist first, and then a Mormon. I studied various teachings by different people. It was UG Kristamurti's teaching helped me out of organized religion. I also read Eckhart Tolle's book abou...

Re: Rebelling the Babylon System

Rebellious mentality is not an individual consciousness, many have not yet realized that they are carried away by the herd instinct. The world is not going to fall apart as revealed in Revelation of the Bible.

Re: Human conciousness

An interesting thought came to my mind about humans compared to other beings. I recall eckhart tolle saying that life before humans such as plants, animals, cells, live completely in pure being because they dont have a mind to interfer. I also recall him saying something to the effect that evolutio...

Re: Best/Worst Candidates for Enlightenment

Seeking Enlightenment is a free choice. Being Enlightened like Eckhart Tolle does not seem to be his personal choice in this life time. If karma is reality, he must have chosen to seek Enlightenment in past life, and being Enlightened in this life is the manifestation of that previous choice. Buddha...

Re: Depression

Here is a little theory on Depression: Each one is born with a certain degree of awareness, and certain mental ability to handle awareness. Most are blessed with higher ability to handle the degree of awareness they possess. There are some born with lower mental ability to handle their awareness. Th...

Re: Manifesting from Pure Awareness

...Well said, Karmarider! Whew! glad to see that not everyone has joined the LOA party! The essence of The Law of Attraction seems to be beyond the understanding of mind. In other words, we can only describe the manifestations of this Law, but can not transmit the essence of this Law with logic and...

Re: Reality, Understanding and Realization

I'm wondering, would it be possible to awaken by accepting everything? Yes, because it puts the egoic mind out of a job. It appears that the essence of mind works harder when a mind structure tries to stop itself. That essence would not mind to kill an individual organism in order to express SURVIV...

Re: Reality, Understanding and Realization

In light of the above discussion, it appears to me that the "dream state" or "ego-identified state" is as real as the awareness state. Insisting on that one is real and another is unreal is another way the ego asserts itself being separated from All That Is. A Teacher always directs the mind to whe...
