"Positive Thinking" blog post by Gina Lake

Thought this was VERY interesting: POSITIVE THINKING A positive mind is preferable to a negative mind because it is easier to live with, more functional, more close to the Truth, and much easier to detach from. So any emotional or psychological healing work that allows the mind to be more positive i...

Re: Tiredness Affects Presence

I find the same thing. I notice my body is tired and I move towards getting rest. Or I push through it. Whichever is more appropriate for that moment. I think my body is wisdom and intelligence too and I like surrendering to that intelligence I don't control. tiredness, needing to use the bathroom, ...

Re: Beautiful writing: My Girlfriend by Jeff Foster

In that way real love is not experienced but a fake freedom being superior and grand. Hmm, this is such a good response. I didnt feel like Jeff was being ego-tistical at all. On the contrary, I felt he was being present with what is. I've read all the responses but I didnt have much to say because ...

Re: Buddhism Is Not What You Think It Is- Steve Hagen

Reality is not a thought. Reality is not what you think. Reality is not what you can think. Reality is what is immediately exprienced . *********************** A buddha doesn't confuse thinking with seeing , and neither does a buddha let a thought or concept override perception. Helpful Thank you! ...

Adyashanti talks about 'the Secret'

I loved this!

Someone is taping their DVD so the video quality is not amazing but the sound is crystal clear. For me it was a fun interesting interaction that really helped me cement what I know and feel inside:

Beautiful writing: My Girlfriend by Jeff Foster

This was just sent in Jeff Foster's latest newsletter as an excerpt from his upcoming book, An Extraordinary Absence: Liberation In The Midst Of A Very Ordinary Life: I look across the table at my girlfriend, Amy. And yet, of course, she's not 'mine' at all. There is nothing here that could possibly...

Re: Favorite / Recommended Books

Wattles was the source for "The Secret." Hey are there any good discussions on this site about how 'the secret' blends with Eckharts teachings. I came to Eckhart by way of the secret & Abraham hicks. I was having trouble manifesting what I wanted and I was not really happy chasing this dream of 'bl...

Re: Adyashanti Poetry

There is a saying in Zen, "When the realization is deep, your whole being is dancing." For realization to be complete is has to hit on three levels - head, heart and gut. You can have a very clear enlightened mind, but your being won't be dancing. Then, when the heart starts to open along with the m...

Re: Adyashanti Poetry

A TENDENCY TO SHINE If you prefer smoke over fire then get up now and leave. For I do not intend to perfume your mind's clothing with more sooty knowledge. No, I have something else in mind. Today I hold a flame in my left hand and a sword in my right. There will be no damage control today. For God ...

Adyashanti Poetry

COME TO YOUR SENSES There is only one Truth and as you go looking for it through a forest of seeking be careful lest you bump into a tree. That lump on your head may remind you that everything is God. You are like a forest dweller looking for the forest. What am I to do? Listen friend each crackling...
