Re: losing interest/having no personality

Listen to your heart man. Does it really make sense just to not care about anything? Thats not love at all! I think your best bet with life is to try and relate and sympathize with beings, not to pretend that you don't care. Thats love. Sympathy, not apathy.

Re: losing interest/having no personality

I'd say this blankness and loss of personality is reality my friend. I've experienced this for a very long time. It's been about two years now and it doesn't seem to shake. I've been very present through it all and it just won't leave. I'm afraid this is what we bought amigo, there is no refund.

Dude, forget presence. Live your life naturally and the good things will come together naturally

How goes your days

I wanna hear about everyones day. How do your days go? What is it like for you to exist? I'm more interested in feelings for the most part, even if they're really subjective. Do you feel like your making spiritual progress?

Re: I think I get it

Thanks for the definition. Since your first post I wanted to look it up in dict/wiki but was too lazy. Sadly the definition still doesn't make any sense to me. Lol. Never mind. Thanks for the definition. Since your first post I wanted to look it up in dict/wiki but was too lazy. Sadly the definitio...

Re: I think I get it

The middle way is never nihilistic. Nihilism, by it's nature, is an extreme. I'll quote wikipedia's deffinition of nihilsm here: "Nihilism (from the Latin nihil, nothing) is the philosophical position that values do not exist but rather are falsely invented" It's pretty much indistinguishable to no...

Re: I think I get it

Pour example: mind is the cause of suffering. A very confident assertion made surprisingly by many minds. I would say this is a supposed definite awnser for the question "What is the cause of suffering?". Isn't the spiritual journey based on this one assumption?

Awakening is a complete transformation, a radical transformation. If we're allowing this transformation to take place shouldn't we have some definite answer? Doesn't it seem that even though we don't have a definite answer most of us act as if we do?

Re: I think I get it

Nothing wrong with anything right? Why disuse ego? Why pursue spirituality? Why disuse conditioning? The middle way is just nihilistic.

I think I get it

I think this is all about just being your own man. It's not about some vague experience that some buddha guy said he had or about cultivating presence like ET says. It's about having the guts to choose your own beliefs and not give up on beliefs altogether. This enlightenment, I've realized, is not ...
