Re: similar to Anthony De Mello

I heard of a center here in Italy run by a Jesuit who follows deMello and from what I heard he is in line with deMello east/west style.
I am having a hard time finding out the location of this center and the name of the Jesuit, but when i do, I will let you know.

Re: Can psychopaths become enlightened?

Who says that we are better off than they are? Even if I post on this forum and share with many of you the practice of awakening to our true selves, by no means I am happy. I still do suffer. The difference, maybe, is that now, compared to a year ago, even in my unhappiness and suffering I find peac...

I agree!
Plus, with all the respect to Hawaii and the people who live there...beautiful spot, yes, but in the middle of no-where.
I think that, as a spiritual teacher, you want to be in a place where you will gather the most people.
Easy to reach and affordable.,,,

Re: Can psychopaths become enlightened?

First of all, I want to agree with UnbornAwakened that almost no one living on Earth will ever be enlightened. The collective ego is probably as large as its ever been these days. I couldn't agree more. Even if you undo your own ego you have only dealt with the tip of the iceberg. The infinite mass...

Re: Have really lost my way.....

It is very challenging to stay present in many professions nowdays. Technology, business like minds (who see patients with a dollar sign:hospitals, clinics, insurance co.)...all of this and more make workers just on object to be exploited and worked to the bone. One task after another without being ...

Re: blew my mind

Thank you Arel. Yes, I did show a little bit too much enthusiasm the day we parted by asking him one too many times to call me. That probably chilled him off. He just broke up with GF and admitted to be in pain because of it. He also experienced loss of income because of this break up and ultimately...

Re: Please help me

Hi Blue sky, thank you for your beautiful post. To tell you the truth I am not thinking about my husband (H) that much any more. I have a post called "blew my mind" and what happened there is that I met a guy who...blew my mind. Nothing happened between us, meaning, nothing romantic. But I felt a st...

Re: blew my mind

love without expectations is light and beautiful. There is no clinging or wanting. I do not think I will contact this guy. I think I am going to leave it like this. I had a great afternoon with him, it was light, open and pure. If I contact him the relationship will be spoiled by our egos, no matter...

Re: Kim Eng and ET

I guess my curiosity about this all ET and KE thing is the essence of the 2 loves: love and Love. Obviously ET is capable of Love because that is his (and our) true essence so you will just have to recognize it in yourself and he does. But then he must also feel love, meaning romantic love, for KE a...

Re: blew my mind

Thank you Heidi, I am going to give him a few more days and then I will text him using Arel's advice. You are right, the wave needs to be ridden without fear, and fear is at the root of my hesitation. Arel, since you are a male offering dating advice...well I am going to take "advantage" of this by ...

Re: blew my mind

Hi far_east, thank you for your post. It is good to look at all the possibilities, but ultimately, if it is meant to be, the universe will decide. I would hate to "use" this luigi guy just for sex because he interests me at a deeper level than just that and I know that, if I call him, that is what i...

Re: blew my mind

If the urge comes for you to call him and tell him he's had an interesting impact on you that you would like to explore further if he's interested - go for it!! (remembering disappointment is only the expectation/reality blah blah blah ; ) I definitely have the urge to call him, but I won't yet. I ...

blew my mind

Yesterday I met a guy just by chance, I let the day flow and for a series of circumstances I just run into this man (he was part of a group where a friend of mine happen to be). This man is also practicing awakening, loves biking, hiking and is just beautiful. We exchanged phone numbers and the attr...

Re: Living among the unconscious

It can be pretty frustrating when we ourselves slip, but just the fact that it bothers us should tell us that we ourselves are, in that moment, unconscious. Yes, this is so true. It is also true that it is much easier to be present with strangers or people with whom we have a very superficial, atta...
