Re: The REAL I is not hurt so don't feel hurt. I Disagree

No matter how strongly you disassociate with body and mind you can't really avoid atleast being slightly hurt when insults are hurled at you. What do you think? It kind of depends on the insult and the degree one may have already dealt with the subject matter, but in general I agree with your take ...

Re: Loving unconditionally with boundaries?

When in a relationship, how can one set healthy boundaries while also loving unconditionally? Loving unconditionally or not in relationships has to do with making judgments of perceived wrong doing on the part of another. The boundaries are the measure of when such wrongdoing is seen to be committe...

Re: Question about being present

Webwanderer, is being-present your natural state? I would say presence is everyone's natural state. The question I think you are asking is: 'is it my normal state'? I wouldn't say I'm present at all times. Not even close. What I would say is that I know where it's at. Of course it is a parti...

Re: Question about being present

Question about what you said. You mentioned it would be counter productive to try to hold presence all day. Do you mean it more as trying to hold presence leads to a lack of presence? Because presence is happiness itself so when you say it's counterproductive to hold presence it sounds like you can...

Re: When thoughts come what should i do?

I am 40, male. I get negative thoughts of the past when i was bullied or i witnessed bullying. I get them very often. I feel j am being attacked, assaulted or taunted. I react to to them and cause suffering. How do i handle this? I have tried replacing the thoughts with presence but the thoughts re...

Re: Being aware of being aware or resting as awareness?

As to your warning, :-) i got a chuckle out of that. I will stop all postings and leave the forum in a second, if that's what you wish, do you wish that? Let me know. Works for me. You bully people, and I don't particularly want to follow you around monitoring your comments. I don't care that we do...

Re: Being aware of being aware or resting as awareness?

As to attacks, one has no idea what you are talking about, you must be confusing me with yourself and your buddies. Should you wish i will take you up on any offers on a dedicated inquiry to look at the facts of any alleged "attacking". Shouldn't be hard since the history of excanges/postings are i...

Re: Being aware of being aware or resting as awareness?

Anyone saying certainty is dangerous have to demonstrate it in their conduct. Are you certain of that? Certainty in life is at least likely to demonstrate a degree of blindness as it is one of clarity. Feel free to make my point one way or the other. You choose. You could just say something more po...

Re: Being aware of being aware or resting as awareness?

I'm not really understanding. If we shouldn't be 100% certain of anything then that means facts no longer exist which doesn't make any sense. It's not that facts don't exist, it's that there is always more to understand about those 'facts', and that being certain about a lesser understanding tends ...

Re: Being aware of being aware or resting as awareness?

I'll leave you with a final thought. Do not believe anything. Become a seeker willing to look at everything. I know what I know. I don't know what I don't know, but I'm willing to look at everything. This is a quality that holds the door open to the growth of consciousness and being while in this h...

Re: How to deal with my friend's negative behaviour in spite of my own hurt feelings and insecurities

The only context that matters is the context of right or wrong, not "loving" or "unloving".
If that is your choice, I wish you the best with it.

Re: How to deal with my friend's negative behaviour in spite of my own hurt feelings and insecurities

Good attitude. I will disagree with the other poster above on "considering the source". That is the old game and has different words like "resonate". Well, using some examples, an alcoholic will resonate with another alcoholic and one thief will "resonate" with another thief. So resonance has no me...

Re: How to deal with my friend's negative behaviour in spite of my own hurt feelings and insecurities

I find it hard to not give a cent to critical opinions because what if there is some kernel of truth in what they're saying? I took your earlier post as referring specifically to someone who is critical by nature. Of course it is wise to consider the source when considering the criticism. How do I ...

Re: How to deal with my friend's negative behaviour in spite of my own hurt feelings and insecurities

I have tendencies to internalise conflicts and am not always good at dealing with it in the moment nor standing up for myself in a constructive way, especially when my feelings are hurt. I was really confused and felt badly after a couple of negative interactions with her and have been wondering ho...
