Re: What's up with my dinner guests?

I think of suffering as any resistance to life's changes. These could be as minor as wanting to hold on to happy moments, or a lack of meaning in life , or something more major like you suggest (i.e., depression , anxiety, illness etc..). In the end, suffering occurs when you cannot accept that eve...

Re: What's up with my dinner guests?

No one who has really read Natalie's posts could accuse her of egoic superiority or a spiritualized ego. Like Natalie, as one who has suffered, I often wonder what life is like for people who appear not to suffer. I'm especially curious, since my husband is one such person. He takes even the worst ...

Re: What's up with my dinner guests?

Well, indirectly she implies that she is something more, not directly but indirectly, she says that she's liberated, being able to be more happy than others etc. This means that she is something more than other who do not have this ability. Namely that's the problem. There is a seperation that she p...

Re: Law of attraction and OCD

But how do I know that simply sending you 60 $100 bills actually manifests unconditional love? Andy Well I guess it doesn't manifest unconditional love as you already said. You equaled the Jaguar desire as an Ego Desire, Ego Desire cannot be connected anyhow with manifestation of unconditional love...

Re: Law of attraction and OCD

For better or worse, gen6, all the Jaguars have gone to other owners. All of whom decided they badly needed them, I'm sure. Andy :( :( Something else left in the store? Something above 5k USD? I take anything !!! You don't need it, right? :D I mean considering that the only real desire is to manife...

Re: Law of attraction and OCD

I know about that statement. I have bought and sold several Jaguars, in years past. Lovely, elegant, expensive, "statement-making" Jaguars. The statement is "Please identify me with the accepted prestige of the car." And that is the exclusive domain of the ego. Desires of the ego. Apparently, after...

Re: What's up with my dinner guests?

It's not odd dear...your relatives and friends are OK just the way they are and probably better than you because don't think too much about the things you think about, namely these things that bring you some kind of suffering. Hard to know what people think about, and harder still to know the troub...

Re: What's up with my dinner guests?

Everyone suffers. The ones who think they don't have just decided that this is the way life has to be. People learn to constrain their experience of extremes. Through religion or spirituality or passionate hobbies or work or purpose or the validation of conventional success they constrain their suf...

Re: What's up with my dinner guests?

Hehe I just find it odd sometimes that it is usually people like me, with painful pasts, who are attracted to spirituality. None of the relatives and friends I spoke of seemed to have suffered. I think that's why they don't have a desire to change anything about themselves or their circumstances. I...

When I looked again with this new perspective I realized - in some lights the transmuted external view of the tunnel looked like a vulva in all its glory , painted on the sky!! Hallelujah! Vulvatissimo !!!    I think we just found the answer..and I like it...

Re: part animal.

Yep, nice post :) That's why we have to develop ourselves in all directions, not only intelectual, spiritual :) Because in extreme situation as war, Eckhart Tolle is a goner while a stupid ,,non-enlightened,, solider is alive. That's why we are combination of all things and everything is important a...

I'm sorry I have to say that...but technically that's your EGO. It's not a bad thing though :)
