Re: Presence Often Feels Like Ignoring...

Self-honesty is always ever it's own reward. As far as self-inquiry or a process of becoming conscious of the contents and dynamics of our own minds goes, ain't one greater. :D

Re: I feel as though this journey wasn't the right path

One passage of the book that I remember being a specific source of a particular realization was ET's comment that as it is, 90% of most human thinking is "repetitive, useless, dysfunctional, negative, harmful". But here's the thing .. what he's getting at only becomes clear if the thinking we invest...

Re: Ouch!

Hey Jen, I'm good, thanks for asking. :) Life just keeps getting more and more unpredictable as time goes on.

Child pose is a yoga position. It's one of the few that doesn't require any sort of strain or exertion.

rach: even a modified version from your knees can do the trick as well.

Re: Ouch!

Hi everyone. :-) I just found out that the severe-ish back and hip pain I've been having for the past few weeks is from a herniated disc. It's fixable, with physical therapy, which is great news. But healing will most likely be slow, and in the meantime I am in pretty much chronic pain. My inclinat...

Re: Hello from snowheight

I'd guess the same could be said about the taste of an orange, the first time you heard Sgt. Pepper and the vision of your wife's face on her wedding day? For sure. Or any other discrete experience. But I think an abiding awakening experience has a longer and broader effect - kind of like a gamma-w...

Correlation is not causation, of course, but as i bump along, i'm more and more convinced that all of our experiences in consciousness have a direct relationship to brain neurochemistry. This is not to say that there is nothing going on in the physical and non-physical space/time continuum that is ...

Always a pleasure to hear your distinctive voice again, snowy! And, by the way, we LIKE dijmart! Jac O'Keeffe is doing satsangs with the 'next steps' after nonduality , but she hasn't worked out the terminology yet...she is lovely as ever, however... Sorry dj'! :) .. didn't mean to cause confusion or play a practical joke. All those greetings are from years ago. I just wanted to respond to 'trails somewhere's else than in the "Poetry recommended links". Also didn't want to intrude on any other open threads.
