Sandy Jones Buddha at the Gas Pump

Hi Everyone. I've been writing my book for awhile now, so have not been around here much. It should be published and available by March. Meanwhile, I thought you might enjoy 'seeing me' haha Joy! I was invited to do an interview with Rick Archer for his Buddha at the Gas Pump on Youtube. He just pos...

Re: sadness

Understanding is still of movement of thought, it is still ego operating, ego wants to understand because it is its preferred way to grasp the world, to 'comprehend', to control ... The key issue lies in confidence (religious people would say "faith in God"), when you trust life you don't need to u...

Re: Slap in the face

And Jason-- there is a wonderful pleasure in giving your gifts and your help and teaching those children in Georgia that you love-- You know that-- That kind of pleasure is rewarded in wonderful ways-- it does come back to you in all kinds of sweet and mysterious when you giver your Heart like that....

Re: Slap in the face

And on second thought-- I need to say-- there is always a balance-- the balance is the place that transcends the "inevitable bad with the good" paradigm. Plus this-- and this gets into a deeper philosophy -- but, we do learn eventually that the so called 'suffering' was really a gift to serve us so ...

Re: Slap in the face

Ah yes, I see, old wise sage. If you don't mind getting screwed on occasion, you can enjoy the comforts and pleasures of the village--- However, I must say, from here in my rose colored glasses; I discovered another village, far more lovely, tender and beautiful than that one. It is a village beyond...

Re: Slap in the face

Sweetness baby. On a deeper level, I spose I'm feeling less and less drawn to enlightenment discussions because I don't have a lot to say. My heart is moving in a different direction and I sometimes find it hard to say good bye. So, see you, maybe. . Sweetness baby 8) And Jack-- you just keep trust...

Re: Slap in the face

I just wanted to share something that just hit me, how it demonstrates the difference between concepts vs direct experience and ask others their thoughts / experiences on it. I can't remember exactly what brought this on but it just hit me like a slap in the face that the only thing trying to get r...

Re: Discussing non-duality face-to-face

Life is not turned down and silenced, its freed and playing the music of life as a full-bodied part of the whole, knowingly, willingly BEING. And there is an authentic, free quality to the music and the lightness of being that is palpable, and may get 'noticed' and may have people ask --- how do yo...

Re: Egoic meltdown

My answer to your question: the role I most defensive about is my intelligence. One of my greatest fears is looking foolish. It's taken a long time to loosen up about making mistakes. The joke was, I'd make a fool of myself trying not to look like a fool! I'm finding that when I just 'fess up to it...

Re: Egoic meltdown

Jack, I would say that, for me at least and I can only speak for me, that the paradoxes all vanished totally. Kind of like I came to a Third position that was greater than the two sides and yet included them totally. I call it Alchemy-- the two opposites are found to be both correct and then that di...

Re: Egoic meltdown

How beautiful all of those responses are. Yes, you got it. and I am happy to see I kind of switched the tide -- it's just that we should not take some statement by Buddha or anyone else as the Truth. We have to find out if it is true, each on our own. The study of non-duality is ( or can be) as dogm...

Re: Egoic meltdown

Attachment has been the most beautiful gift from God of all the gifts I have been given to see and know. Attachment, I love attachment. I love the pain and sorrow and agony of loss. It was the agony and pain that showed me that nothing, no one, no soul, no heart, no loved one is ever lost. That ever...
