Re: Profound Loneliness

Garuda, Not sure why I jsut saw this message. Anyway, in answer to your questions: I did not feel lonely at all when I was still with my boyfriend and he was not here. In fact, I liked my "space" when he was gone. Not sure I understand the second quetion but here is my answer based on what I think y...

Re: Advice for starting the day?

For those who mentioned having bad dreams and waking up feeling horrible - In my experience, if I have consistently bad dreams, my dreams are trying to tell me something. Not always, but often, especially if you remember them. I have learned to interpret my dreams and each person has metaphors in dr...

Re: How Do I Protect Myself?

Indeed, Andy's posts are incredibly insightful and I want to reply to all of these. I print them out and then I get behind in replying! I will look into the retreat and the book Andy recommended. I know the replies to my posts help other people as well - as Natalie commented and that makes me feel h...

Re: Job interview - just for fun

Hanss, This is great. I can certainly identify as I am looking for work now too. It is so strange now though! When I go on an interview I DO feel like I am just playing this role - like I am acting because that is what is required in this whole role-playing set up. I feel like I am watching the whol...

Re: Profound Loneliness

That said, i do think you should use the Sedona Method or Byron Kaitie's thework, etc. I also think those are powerful enough tools to allow you to function more successfully (i.e. less "profound"). But if something keeps surfacing through you into Presence, and if you can just say it is a "strong ...

Garuda,
Wonderful wonderful post! I will reply shortly when I let it sink in. I printed it out and need to read it several times. It is amazingly on the mark.

Re: Profound Loneliness

Andy, It took me a few days to let what you wrote sort of sink in. The ego may dissolve, but the cry of the body/mind/personality is not stilled. Nonduality is about "being," but psychological honesty about one’s felt desire for companionship, intimacy and love is about "becoming." Maslow and Perls ...

Re: How Do I Protect Myself?

You are likely going through a cleansing and healing process right now – just like the seasoned veterans on this forum who have weathered the storms and survived to share great advice for those struggling in their crisis. Garuda, this is exactly what it feels like. Very perceptive of you. But it ma...

Re: Profound Loneliness

So then Kiki, why would I wake up out of a sound sleep with the feeling? I have no thoughts when I wake up. And I wake up in the morning with it too. Not all the time of course, but often lately. Although it is slowly dissipating due to all the awareness and acceptance I have been putting toward it....

Re: Profound Loneliness

Feelings have very subtle thoughts attached to them, so subtle that they are no longer consciously perceived because they have dug themselves down deep within the psyche and turned into beliefs. If you examine a belief you will see just how subtle the thought structure is that comprises the belief....

Re: Profound Loneliness

Thank you all for your very helpful posts. Karmarider, intuitively, this does feel like a call to awakening. All of these things are dropping away in my life right now, major changes in relationship, career, finances, housing, health. I am having to re-examine how I have lived my life up until now a...

Profound Loneliness

I find it really interesting and quite wonderful that we can talk about such life altering, personal topics on this forum -- topics that we would not likely discuss with strangers in another environment. It is so important. And it helps to clarify what is happening internally. I get such stunning in...
