Re: Aware of your own awareness

I don't know if ET makes this distinction between awareness and consciousness but I find it true so here it is; Awareness is of the senses, it is in existence. It can be conceptualised as a kind of beam focus on something in the senses or just inside the body say the particular sensation in the feet...

Re: Presence's effect on motive

There is a cross over period from thinking and choosing to what is best described as doing what you do without thinking about it. The cross over starts to happen when the awareness can be maintained in the sensation of the body so that the mind is kept still. When this is the case, and it may take a...

Re: Real Test

We get tested so that we know that the truth is real and valuable. Muscles have to be tested.

Without testing we don't know our strength.

Re: emotional abuse same as physical abuse is it not?

Well actually if somebody says to a kid , behind that door there is SOMETHING that will kill you, open the door. The kidwill be afraid of something UNKNOWN that will kill him/her. So we can be afraid of the unknown. My point exactly, that is the known. The unknown is the unknown, how can you be afr...

Re: how do we keep the balance?

All you can do is know your job description really well. You need to know what you can provide and what you can't any grey areas must be illuminated. Then when someone calls with a need you can do for them all you can and know that you have done your best within the limits of your job description. Y...

Is it really ok?...... No, it is not. He doesn't love you enough.

And you can't be afraid of the unknown. We are only afraid of the known. The unknown is unknown.

Re: A problem that I have

To get really into your body is my suggestion. Really into the sensation. The hyped up energy of your self exists outside your sensational body and is burning off all the vitality that should be nourishing your body. Contain it and sink back into the sensation. That is all you can do. Let the doctor...

I think you said it well.

The paradox is What I am, and What I am here.

But in Adyashanti's second awakening, he stumbled around his house and noticed that "he" was a chair...that "he" was his sleeping wife. What had happened for him was a redefinition of the word "I." Andy Is this the realisation of 'I am Life', The realisation of immortality. Did he define it in thos...

Re: The Supposed Age of Awakening

When I have talked to people not engaged in the spiritual life the opinion is that the world will go on as usual, no problem.

Perhaps this is because self or ego = world. They are one and the same.

And Being or Self = The Earth.

Re: Apathy

'"apathy is described as a response to an easy challenge for which the subject has matched skills"

Does that sound familiar. The self can get stuck in circumstances that do not reflect much life to it. The solution in that case would be a fresh assessment of the living situation.

Re: The Supposed Age of Awakening

I read a series of books a while ago and they had a nice psychic reality, you know when a book really holds one in a spell. Well this series of books was written by a russian guy who met a real live wild mystic living in the taiga of siberia. She was a woman called Anastasia, and that is the title o...

Re: The Supposed Age of Awakening

Well that is interesting we seem to have a concensus view so far. So if the age of awakening is not going to happen then what of the world? Will it just get worse and worse and worse in terms of lack of love and life, and more and more sex and excitement and violence, along with better and better fo...

Re: Quantum Man on the River of Life

I am the Child of Life. It sounds a bit naive, but to hell with that. I am the innocence of the Child of Life. Thankyou for your reply Mistral it was nice to read . Its defenselessness is its strength . Those who have the courage to remain the newly revealed Child find that this is so. Mistral I fin...
