Re: The Supposed Age of Awakening

I hear you Brandon and I read your inspiring introduction. It will be a better place when more of us perceive everything as a 'blessing' or at least 'right'. I do not see that the process of purification stops until selfishness is eliminated, so in the parrallel of the world I see no option other th...

Re: The Supposed Age of Awakening

I always get a good sense from your posts Ananda and I stay with that. You must be in a good place inside.

Re: The Supposed Age of Awakening

However, we would know that what is "good" and what is "bad" is only in the eye of the observer. Yes, how can we all live together if we all have different ideas of what is good and what is bad. We can't there would be a dispute sooner or later. Can you imagine worldly business or commerce without ...

Re: The Supposed Age of Awakening

In all, I would say to forget about such ideas and hopes, simply work to be free from your own ignorance, the rest will sort itself. My sentiments exactly Ananda, glad to be in concurrence about that. On the other hand there is this :? ....since enlightenment is the realization that individuality i...

The Supposed Age of Awakening

The Supposed Age of Awakening That is a nice idea but what happens to all the people that still love their emotions and unhappiness? I hear and read of 'we' are going to awaken and if that is taken litterally it means we as the whole of humanity , ie everybody is going to awaken. From my perspective...

Re: Quantum Man on the River of Life

Yes Mistral, William Samuel sounds like a sensible guy I have a few questions:

Does he give any timescale for the scientific renaissence/breakthrough?

Is the destruction of most of humanity to follow?

Re: Quantum Man on the River of Life

The problem is that science can't handle consciousness, because science is an effect of my being conscious. So science as it is will not accept consciousness as the state that creates matter until the individual scientist has realised this as their own self knowledge. What we are going to see is the...

Re: Quantum Man on the River of Life

But it remains to be seen what scientists will do with their information once it becomes clear that they are now-and always have been-examining consciousness. I enjoy the frankness of that statement and the contemplation of what the scientific community will do. How will they break it to us common ...

Re: Can sexual energy be transmuted to Presence?

Sexual energy is a natural degredation of the energy/presence of Love or Life. Love or Life is the finer reality behind sexual energy. It is the ever present feelable reality of the body. It is sensational, it is the pure sensational sexuality of man and woman's body. Presence can only be known thro...

Re: Your favourite books/records

I have read Barry's Origins book and it is definitely the most extraordinary story ever told. It is told in such detail and clarity that one can only wonder at the depth of realisation that leads to such a complete picture of reality. It is the kind of book can be read time after time. And indeed 'i...

Re: Meditation - knee and ankle pain

Is this because you are trying to sit in lotus position or some uncomfortable 'special' pose? If so it is completely unnecessary. If it is not position related then perhaps you have an old injury there and you might be getting into an unconsious area of flesh and in that can be stored pain. Self/ego...

Re: Finding teachers and seeking reassurance

Find a teacher or preferably a master that you resonate with, go and see them as much as you can, and live their teaching for as long as it works for you. The presence of the master is very important to you as it will reflect to your own consciousness that which the master has realised without you h...

Re: Best meditation method??

The method is to still the mind and emotions which are always subtley moving. Only when stilled can awareness start to perceive nothing, this is the point of transformation to consciousness. The starting point is an active thinking mind with no conscious awareness of the inner body, the continuous s...

Re: Best meditation method??

Do you think I should just really try to work past this minds fear? The mind is really your self and it fears death. The spiritual life is the "gradual diminution or creeping execution of your self" Nothing is lost that you would want back. Is there even anything really to fear? The mind or self fe...
