Re: self's effect on existence

That is unfair treatment of 'me' here. To set the record straight we have the word self with it's associated adjective selfish that describes the selfish nature in me. The 'self' has a history and qualities, attributes, personal memories. That's an appearance of self in me. Ego is wrongly used every...

Re: Who is your favorite spiritual teacher?

Barry Long is good. His great contribution to Man and Woman was to clearly articulate the difference between sex and love. He actually got Man to love Woman. His teaching through his knowledge of existence and the invisible reality is comprehensive. His teaching stands out amongst others for his poi...

Re: self's effect on existence

Physicality isn't existence. Experience isn't reality. 'me' is part of experience. Experience is not in 'me'. "The run of circumstance" doesn't register in my brain. You must be using the Tolle definition of 'me' as self or ego. I am using it as the only place where anything appears or is realised....

Re: self's effect on existence

So the physical existence is just an appearance with no substance. All substance or the substantive sensational reality is the experience and that is in 'me' and is affected by a realisation in that the subject can perceive finer realms of the sensational reality. Yes that is true I see where you ar...

Re: self's effect on existence

The 'me' is an idea. It has no effect on existence, only on the experiencing of ideas. I see what you are saying. So there is no karma for you. I would say the 'me' is an energetic reality affecting existence, despite my interpretation of it. Example: LOVE. Depending on your knowledge of love your ...

Surely the self's effect on existence is what is referred to in the East as 'Karma'.

Re: self's effect on existence

If consciousness (noticing) sees something, whatever label it might inherit, it can never be unconsciousness. Unconsciousness, there is none. Hi Ziendus I hear the truth you write from. Yet is it not the watcher or "I" that is conscious of this or that? And there is this glorious reality of Conscio...

Re: The Grace I got from ET's PON- Part 2

That's great Hello.

You could put the essence into a mantra which would go; "Don't judge the situation......Don't judge the situation......Don't judge the situation"

It works.

This originally came from Barry Long who suggested this mantra to his students as a western mantra with real meaning.

Re: Judgment, subconscious and relativity

Few days ago I realised that when I judge someone or something, I am judging a phantom and I cannot truly know the contents or structure of someone's being. This is excellent iamego. This is the truth, you started with this and I can't understand the rest of what you said but just give up judging y...

Re: self's effect on existence

Yes thank you Marcel, no border indeed. I will stay with that. You are consistent in pointing to a unified reality. I enjoy that yet I can't help but notice in myself an unconsciousness of this unified reality when self is present and active. I am that when it is there, and that is rather slow and d...

Re: madness cant prescribe its own cure

I don't understand the view of thinking being madness. I see a lot of people talking about thinking as some kind of abnormality that shouldn't be. Give it a rest will ya? There is nothing wrong with thinking. There's nothing to cure here. It's just thoughts. Leave them be. There is the expression r...

Re: madness cant prescribe its own cure

I like the way you put that Bruce. This bit intrigued me; " maybe the answer is not in getting out of the madness,, avoiding it, but in going through it , enduring it,and coming out the other side, knowing it for what it is " Surely when it is recognised as not my real identity that is enough. What ...

Re: Thinking is driving me insane

Yes, thoughts bubble up from unconscious levels, and you have no way to predict them. An image may come in and there is no stopping that and then the next move is critical. Do I hold it until it dissolves and return to stillness, or do I start the associative thinking process and start thinking? Be...
