Re: Slow forums?

Been dragging for many days. Just now took 32 secs to get from Home page to log in page. About 10-15 sec, sometimes more, per page after sign in.

Re: People Exist

What has changed, though, is the gameboard. It has been brought into high relief. In the original Monoply game, one of the pieces is a top hat. I like that piece. A top hat is all fluff, with very little practical use. In a way, it is the best reminder that Monopoly is a game. Without seeing a game...

Re: Thoughts of the moment and past, Conversation consciousn

My take is that there are two somewhat different kinds of thoughts. There are those thoughts that just arise ou(t) of our conditioning and our history of experience. Then there are the deliberate thoughts that we choose. A third kind of "thought" are the word-thoughts that arise contemporaneously w...

A Look at a Child's Mind & The Purpose of Practice

From the book "A Path to Christ Consciousness; Non-Conceptual Awareness Practice as a Doorway to the Infinite" by Robert Harwood "A spiritual practice, as understood by a mystical spiritual tradition, is a repetitive activity used to cut through the habit of reflective thought in order to realize un...

Re: How can we know there's no death

Amen Sandyjoy. The world grows ominous...but we will stand and shine as we are able. One never knows of what use one can be except for the taking of a stand for Right where we ought. For you. A nice quote by WS regarding overcoming ego: "(It is)...hard work of 'seeing' what we really are, and what ...

Re: How can we know there's no death

Yes, I agree, thank you Rick, it is true, we must do something for this world we live in and most especially now in these days we are in. As I can tell, you know too. I believe that as I find and Live It, and you find and Live It, we, knowing we are the Unbound Light of God Already, the very Knowin...

Re: How can we know there's no death

For me, it was really that I discovered the ego is not real. Therefore it was not something I could get rid of. I realized that any ego here other than God's alone, was a false belief that there can be anything besides God going here. I found out that there is not a separate awareness/identity outs...

Re: How can we know there's no death

There may be an issue here with the heavily negative judgment many here have about ego. It's thrown around like it's a disease that needs to be cured rather than a temporary perspective that makes for some interesting experiences. There is nothing temporary about the use of the ego for "interesting...

Re: Is There Really an Afterlife?

Being, the Source of True Love...changeless and eternal Would you say the error lies in being human we only 'think' we are no longer ^ because we can't prove it? . I would say it is two fold. 1. We forget the Pure Being we were when we first came into the world and were "tricked" from it into belie...

Re: How can we know there's no death

the point is that Abraham's teachings are effective pathways to transcend ego. Out of respect to you, I've done quite a bit of research into the Abraham thing, looking to see if I could see what you see. I've watched countless videos, purchased/read The Vortex and listened to the meditation CD. (Kn...

Re: Is There Really an Afterlife?

Rick said: Love today often turns to hate tomorrow. ET and many others say the love described as an opposite to hate is not in the energy of compassion/oneness sense. We have seen many examples of the unifying standard of compassion, whether one chooses to accept that path or not is accepted with a...

Re: Is There Really an Afterlife?

I consider it a step up in consciousness to consider how an issue feels as a valid and useful guide to greater understanding. The standard of right and wrong for most people is "feeling" based. If it outrages you then it is wrong...if it doesn't, then it is OK The problem with this kind of standard...

Re: How can we know there's no death

I see the direct-experience approach as a very humanistic and compassionate approach. It does not require any tests or beliefs or spiritual advancement. On the contrary, direct experience requires a near exclusive belief in the physical senses. And it completely discounts the experience of every ot...

Re: How can we know there's no death

Because near-death and out-of-body experiences require the presence of a brain, they cannot reflect what happens after death Come on guys let's get serious...surely you cannot denied this clear fact? My understanding is that near-death is "near" death not "the" death. In the near-death accounts the...

Re: How can we know there's no death

E. Tolle, From "The Power of Now" "It opens up briefly at the time of physical death. Even if you have missed all the other opportunities for spiritual realization during your lifetime, one last portal will open up for you immediately after the body has died. There are countless accounts by people w...
