Re: Tolle Compares The Secret with The Power of Now
And, "alignment with mind" is not a suggestion in the Abraham teachings. Alignment of mind would be more accurate. Note the significant difference in perspective. Alignment "with" mind. Alignment "of" mind....it all points to seeking identification of self "in" mind. Tolle says who you are is found...

Re: Tolle Compares The Secret with The Power of Now
:D egos have as much to share with us as anything else. This is beyond doubt. A question however might be, what is the nature of that sharing? Does the sharing promote Presence, or ego? Tolle is clearly saying that Presence, or its absence, is the criterion in determining what is True Source creati...

Re: Tolle Compares The Secret with The Power of Now
Sometimes I wonder if we are not being too harsh on egos. The implication by many that this or that is egoic seems to suggest that one should not perceive and act as ego. But are egos wrong? Is there value in the ego experience? Egos seem to be natural expressions while in this human existence. May...

Tolle Compares The Secret with The Power of Now
Eckhart Tolle compares The Secret (LoA) with The Power of Now.
Tolle explains how creating from other than a place of Presence is egoic. But, he notes...even egoic creating is part of the play of Consciousness in form.

Re: Bliss - Beyond Pleasure and Pain
If you are happy in every moment - emotion-filled or emotion-less, Rick, what question could there possibly be to answer? In a nutshell, the personal question long before making this post was "is feeling normal, normal?" Since that is essentially my experience, then I have to say, yes. The posts ab...

Re: self consciousness
I 've realised that one of my main problems is that i'm too self conscious. where should my attention be focused on? when i put my attention to my mind my ego grows and if i divert it away i feel like i have no energy, almost like a mechanical man with no emotion. The past year i feel i have lost a...

Re: Bliss - Beyond Pleasure and Pain
I'm in a wee bit of a rush, but I need to tell you Rick - once you 'know' what it is you can turn it up, or down, at will Whether you turn it (life flowing) up, or turn it (life flowing) down is absolutely your choice. Hey Jen, I don't know about any of that because that has not been my experience....

Re: Bliss - Beyond Pleasure and Pain
Ah yes! But do you see / hear how the 'no' part of it resonates too? I do. Below is a note to a friend telling why I started this thread. "For the last year I have found myself with far more inner peace and stillness than I've ever had, but none of the great joy and overflowing happiness I've heard...

Re: Bliss - Beyond Pleasure and Pain
We 'read' it as an absence of the form layering but experience it not as 'nothing' or 'less than' sense, its a 'more than' sense - albeit described in words in terms of the absence of .. I think that is right Jen. It appears to be kinda like how health and vitality might be defined as the absence o...

Re: Is It True That What You Resist Persists?
Can Consciousness lose part of itself in form? Some say that is exactly what happens in the game of life Consciousness designed so as to experience material existence. we could say in the dreamworld consciousness loses itself in form through what we call a mind. It becomes identified with mind. To w...

Re: Is It True That What You Resist Persists?
The 'thing' which needs grace is what never existed in the first place A thing that has no existence has no need. But we are not talking about has no existence. We speak of Consciousness becoming Conscious of Itself. You say grace is not required. I suggest that it is. We will have to agree to disa...

Re: Is It True That What You Resist Persists?
When Tolle goes into the story of his magical vortex experience, "his own personal awakening experience", he isn't talking about awakening. He's talking about his own imaginary non existent dualistic experience.: Tolle's own words speak of what happened here. But let me lay a foundation before I go...
