Re: Minor irritations

The thing is, he said it in passing and I didn't have time to answer. I don't think he expected an answer - where we were there are no tennis courts and the dress was not suitable for a wedding - it was a beach cover up. And I don't think he deserved an answer. I am assuming his intention was attent...

Re: Romance and the Ego

But, what else is there that makes you say, THIS is the person I am in a monogamous relationship with as opposed to THIS person? Let's take sex COMPLETELY out of the equation for a second because often times we confuse this with "love". Why do you choose monogamy with THIS person as opposed to THIS...

Re: How does healthy, non-needy success happen?

I was 27 before my passion found me and I needed it as much as breathing - sailing! Two years later another passion found me and it was the love of my life. I needed him as much as breathing. A few years later when I lost the man, my other passion saved my life and became a way of life. Am I success...

Minor irritations

ET says to allow minor irritations in life to just pass through us as if there was no one there to get upset or hurt. As in the car alarm or dog barking. I can do that. For example a disco playing loud music until 5am - it doesn't upset me - I just get up and either start dancing to the music or do ...

Re: The Now is boring

So, to sum up: I want to make good things happen in my life, and I want to be better at enjoying whatever happens in my life. You can only do it in this moment. Whatever you are doing now, do it to the best of your ability. When you are doing your art, do it the best way you know how. When you are ...

Re: How do I "face" inner negativity?

Sometimes when I catch myself feeling sorry for myself or having unhappy thoughts or emotions, I try to find something in front of me, such as a flower on the side of the road or my hand and notice it fully and realize how beautiful it is and how I am grateful for being able to be a witness to its b...

Re: Rejection was too painful, then i just wanted fun and se

The best relationship advice I can offer you is this: do nothing. I am serious. As a woman you do not have to pursue men to be in a relationship. Of course, live your life, do what you are passionate about, take care of your body (massage, hugs from family and friends, nice clothes), get a good hair...

Re: Romance and the Ego

I notice some anxiety as well as there is a 'wanting' to make this work. Then, the heavens open up once again.... I realize.....I am merely trying to control the outcome and not allowing what is....to be....and everything becomes peaceful again. It seems that romance triggers some sort of painbody ...

Re: Romance and the Ego

I believe sex is all about procreation and we are greatly rewarded by hormones and chemicals to induce states of ecstasy for mating and creating the next generation. Our biology is also programmed to encourage us to swap mates after a couple of years or so to improve the gene pool. The upshot of al...

Re: Enormous distress from not being able to get a girlfrien

I feel very sorry for you NinjaBird that your world is full of judgment and hate. I really don't think I would want to be part of that world. :( Your example of tutoring the "hot" girl - would you extend the same kind of loving gesture to a girl who wasn't "hot"? How do you think she might feel? She...

Re: Enormous distress from not being able to get a girlfrien

NinjaBird, you sound like a great catch! That's a lot of accomplishments for someone only 19 years old. And your hormones are raging, so that's where the difficulty lies. Playing sports helps to tame the hormones, or visiting a safe woman of the night, but a girlfriend would be nice too. I would gue...

Re: How do I make peace with being single?

It must be difficult to face the fact that the world is not giving you what you need. Besides anger, I also sense in you major frustration. And of course the ego is fighting for survival. How will it all play out? Perhaps you are nearing a major breakthrough similar to what Eckhart Tolle had? Hugs.

Re: How do I make peace with being single?

Love is always there in our true state, but it is masked when ego takes over.
So, with most of the world being ran by the ego, no wonder so many relationships fail. :(

Re: Helping others

Treasure, thank you for your kind comments. You made my day (on the surface of course, all is well down deep) :D I do judge myself more than anyone else and that's another lesson. My friend just sent me a text that she is leaving tomorrow the painful situation (two people who are verbally abusive to...
