Re: Dissolving guilt

J, you might want to check this out: "Rediscovering life" video by Anthony de Mello: http://eckhart-tolle-forum.inner-growth.info/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=9949 In my opinion he's talking about the same things as Eckhart, but from a completely different direction, and that's what may make it very useful ...

Re: Job Interviews

I've been sitting and thinking about this, read the "tree" topic as well, and Rick's advice is just beautiful, it resonates with me. find what your God given natural talents are, usually you can tell these but what you love to do, by what you are naturally good at and see if you can some how make a ...

Re: Job Interviews

Any suggestions are welcome! Why only crappy jobs? Maybe you can still find a "normal" one! Maybe the economy, social climate or culture where you live is such that most jobs are crappy and most people contribute to the "crappiness" by fitting into the roles of greedy exploiters who think the world...

Re: Dissolving guilt

So, regardless of how extreme or consuming the guilt is, how long ago the behavior that triggered the guilt was executed, whether or not the behaviors occurred decades ago, three months ago or yesterday or even if these actions/behaviors continue in a compulsive manner, how destructive to others or...

Re: Why do I feel guilty about looking forward to something?

A lot of my guilt stems from finding that I frequently find myself wanting to kill clock time. I am a stay at home mom to my 10.5 month old, who I love very much. But the days can seem long. I won't lie! There is a great deal of playing on the floor with her, trying to keep her entertained, chasing...

Re: Subconscious mind activity

what?? why didn't i see that? I just thought that the apathy was because i didn't had so good sleep lately, but now i see that it is a "place" that the mind still control  Well maybe apathy after too little sleep is just normal body reaction, to keep you from exerting yourself because you're...

Re: Subconscious mind activity

I think you are being misled. Apathy is ... just another kind of energy present within you ... but it is sneaky : it aims to 'convince' you not to look at it. [there is nothing to see here, you don't feel like it, you are bored, you can't connect with this, you have no energy ... these aren't the d...

Re: Subconscious mind activity

When you are "with" these sensations, do you get any telemetry ? i.e. do particular memories / phenomena spontaneously appear at the same time ... and if so, do they give you further information about what is going on ? No, I just feel this heaviness in the body. And like a lot of my attention is "...

Subconscious mind activity

Hello everyone! I need some insight into what I'm experiencing, and I'd like to share it with people who also study Eckhart's books. I'm being tempted to tell you "my story", but it seems to me now that it would be a bunch of thoughts and ego activity, so I'd rather just talk about what I'm experien...
