Re: What excites you?

People usually notice that they carry a "bag of fears", and they need to face each fear one at a time and transcend it. But it is probably a bigger breakthrough to be aware of the "bag of excitement". In retrospect, I realized that in the past my heart beats a little faster when a thought of "sweet"...

Re: Music

Music vs Spirituality, this is interesting topics Only a few days ago, I was siting in the new car one of my friends just bought, the music was so beautiful, it sounded familiar, probably from the movie "Lord of the rings". There are a few pointers came to my mind: 1. spirituality is pure silence, s...

the problem is his not mine

Can you please try to help me? Is there any possibility to dissociate from a very close relative (daughter) with self-destructive tendencies, who pushes away any help from me, whom I am not able to communicate with? And most important: do I have the moral right to dissociate? - she is my daughter a...

Re: What excites you?

Tolle taught us that the present moment (inner journey) contains the element of the ultimate purpose: the feeling (of deathless) realization. Everything in the material world becomes shallow when compared with that. So nothing excites me. There is no excitement anymore. Although there was some excit...

Re: How to You Observe Thought?

It feels like I am talking about past life time when I speak about "observing thought". The person who does "observing thoughts" has died so completely. I do remember what I did when I was observing my thoughts. I saw a thin thread light up in a large box, this visual image has 99.999% of space arou...

Re: Sense Of Isolation

That is the challenge for all spiritual teacher: how to connect with other people. Even Eckhart probably sense the same isolation, because although many millions of people connect with his teaching, billions of people are either unaware of it or can not understand it. We are much more fortunate than...

Re: I would like to overcome anxiety and depression

I would just like to be able to return to work without being a nervous wreck and worrying that people will be asking me questions about why I was sick for so long and why I have been demoted. If you see yourself being a nervous wreck already, then is it possible that you do whatever you could to re...

Re: Supressing Emotions and being more Conscious

Emotion going down can come from two sources: 1. you put attention on something that is outside the subject (failed grades), e.g. sex, game. This is called suppression. 2. you put attention in a broader scope, the whole universe, totality, pure stillness. I would not label the second approach as "su...

Re: Prove it that you are not your mind?

I can prove it that I am my mind.

My wife told me that I am a totally new person compared with a few years ago, i.e. the old me died. But the external appearance does not change, only the mind has changed.

So, I have proved that I am my mind, and I keep dying.

Re: Gradual process or spontaneous event ??

It is gradual. Some of the surrender is easier, and after the surrender, you receive more happiness and material success. The momentum then prompt you to surrender more. I feel that I have surrendered the last piece: contribution to humanity . What is left can be called a 'pure spiritual being'. But...

Re: Concentration

Painbody has two different mode: dormant, or active. In your case, the painbody just woke up, and you seem to be doing the right thing: watch it intensely. Intense watching has two effects 1. the obvious effect is that the pain can not pretend to be you, it spins like a spinning wheel without additi...

Re: Presence in the face of "bad" behaviour

When you are transformed, the world is transformed. This moment is perfect as it is. Out of stillness, you may be surprised to realize that 1. the "mess" is not really a "mess", it is actually something very beautiful, something that you can not buy with a million dollars. 2. this is not really "the...

Worry vs Sadness

Worry and Sadness seems to be at different level. Worry seems to mean trying to figure out a solution at a more practical level. Sadness seems to mean believing things are bad at a high level and can not be changed.

I have occasional worries, but the feeling of sadness is long gone.
