empowering beliefs

I would consider "belief" to be a mind technique. According to ET, all techniques have downside because techniques tend to bring "TIME". "TIME' gets in the way of the power of "NOW". When you use a empowering belief (such as "all I need is within me now"), you normally say it out loud, write it down...

what is the most important part of power of now ?

ET has many books and tapes right now, I ask myself two questions 1. what is the most important part ? 2. How much percentage of ET's teaching have I grasped ? My current answers to these two questions are: Q1. 99% of ET's essense is WHY (why we need to choose another state (be present) for every mo...

Thank you Kiki for reminding me that I did not have the insight ET had (that the mind is fake, not the real me) when I was 30. Now ten years have passed, I am convined that "identifying with my mind" is the source of ALL suffering, but as of today I have still not totally withdrawn from my identific...

Respond to anything with stillness

Originally posted by Summer My family and relatives can trigger my pain body in a instant. It can feel very frustrating often. Did I not suffer enough or was I too chicken ?

ET had that unbearable suffering when he was near 30, this event (blessing) triggered a full withdraw from his mind. He had that experience FIRST and then in the later years he slowly understood what happened to him. I often ask myself: did I not suffer enough in my past, why these suffering did not...

What gets measured gets done

What gets measured gets done As ET pointed out repeatedly, his teaching needs to be lived. In the past, I use an excel spreadsheet to log things such as how many hrs of meditation (walks) etc have I done every day. Now I slightly modified my daily measurement. After I finish my 30 minutes walk, I go...

Great post LarryFroot! I want to add my two cents 1. short term full attention to the pain seem to reduce the pain. When I am getting my blood drawn for medical test, (instead of looking away as I did in the past) I now put full attention when (and where) the needle enter my arm, I do not feel a thi...

The paradox (acceptance vs resistance): 1. when you use the question "how can I get myself out of the mud", you are not resisting "stucking in the mud". ET said the question of How is often better than the question of what. "how question" implies accepting what is, and it is focusing on the present ...
