Re: How do you trully surrender not intentionally?

I'm thinking that in order to be unconditional surrender there must not be any ulterior motive (I'll surrender so I can get peace, enlightement, etc.). I have found that in order for me to surrender I must rest in that place of not knowing. There is some fear there because the ego feels that in ord...

Re: How do you trully surrender not intentionally?

When the house is on fire, and your intention to surrender fails. This maybe a good thing that intentional surrender fails sometime. True surrender to xyz comes naturally without intention when what does xyz mean to you changes. xyz (previously thought to be bad) now looks like gold to you. So "true...

Re: Death meditation

Death is the key distinction between the two identities: old little me would die new identity of one life that is beyond birth and death So death is a powerful portal to enter the new identity. NO need to meditate, just say "I die now", that three words would wipe out all thoughts and push you into ...

When shift of identity becomes invisible

When very bad things happen, a person usually feel strong pain, and if he has read PON, then he can shift to a higher identity (deathless one life), and the pain is replaced with peace. This shift takes a few seconds or longer. He does not dwell in pain too long, he is enlightened. When very good th...

Re: You have got to listen to this!!!

Oh, boy, I listened for the first 10 minute, I have no clue what he is talking about, so I give up.

Maybe someone else can summarize it up in simple English.

Re: Stuggling

I see a therapist and go to a 12 step group but i just fear people seeing the "dark side" of me When people see the dark side of you, some of them would not open up to you, and you will experience the rejection; some of them would open to you because of this knowledge, and you experience the compas...

Re: How to be social when being in the now?

Tolle repeatedly states that he is a hermit at the core: i.e. he prefers to be alone. Tolle also said that every encounter is divine. My understanding is that the more joy you have being alone, the clearer your mind is, and therefore, the more meaningful the social encounter with another individual....

Re: How to dissolve loneliness?

How to dissolve loneliness? This is not a simple question. I experience life differently now as if I am also other people . So the word loneliness does not have meaning to me anymore. When I walk on the street, I saw a little girl about three year old, she may have down syndrom, because her eye and ...

Re: How do you live if you dont mind me asking???

In his recent DVD series for spiritual teacher, Eckhart talked about how a well known spiritual teacher lives her life outside classroom. One day Toll's publisher called her office, while speaking to her secretary, he heard someone screaming in the background. Rather surprised, he asked the secretar...

Stumbling on Happiness by Daniel Gilbert

This is a science book, not a spiritual book, but IMO this can serve for a core piece of foundation for all the spiritual books.

A must read.

Kim, Have you ever talked serious topics with a three year old kid? It maybe helpful to look at the conversation you have with kiki as a conversation between one adult and a 3 year old, but put youself in the position of a 3 year old. Of course you can't understand what kiki is talking about. How ca...
