Re: high quality no

When you are in meditation, collect up everything that you recognise. Your life. Your identity. Your hopes. Your pains. Your species. And throw it into the fire as an offering. Continue until there is nobody left doing anything. Continue until there is no time. Beautiful and thank you for sharing.

Re: high quality no

Also, it seems contradictory that eckhart is speaking of a justifiable “no” in certain circumstances, yet we’re meant to bring an inner “yes” to what “is” at all times… finding it hard to get that. :?: The "yes" Eckharts speaks of is to not "argue what is" and accept what is. A) If it is raining, a...

Re: In less than a week

treasuretheday, thank you for your questions/comments, and SandyJoy, thank you for your playing dress up analogy. I read your responses and took some time and be with them. I recognized there are some deep egoic thoughts and attachments to fear and comfort that is trying hard to hold on and shade wh...

Re: In less than a week

I share with Merlin41 in thanking the knowledge and wisdom on this forum as "I" embarked on my journey the past months. Yep, that's pretty much it. You can't push this onto anyone, so "play their game" knowingly while watching from silence, and don't be surprised if relationships readjust themselves...

Re: Can you lose enlightenment?

SandyJoy, Thank you for the great bicycle analogy. That was beautifully put. Sighclone, Thank you for your reply. I've looked up your story from 2008 and I am curious what you mean when the veil was lifted up. How did you know that it was it? I understand words may not be able to describe it. I am c...

Re: Can you lose enlightenment?

You cannot lose permanent enlightenment. You can lose temporary enlightenment. Final dissolution of the many subtle and deep fixations of egoic identity might take decades. Deep egoic thoughts and beliefs have powerful "velcro" which can hijack awareness quickly. Nisargadatta chanted until his deat...

Re: Feeling of Sadness

Sometimes when we feel depressed, it seems we have lost our capacity for gratitude. But it has just gone dormant. We can wake it up! Thanks treasuretheday for all your gratitude suggestions and approaches. The more I be with it, I feel the fact that we are in existence is something to be grateful f...

Re: The painbody - will we always have it?

From my experience and understanding, the pain body isn't something to "get rid off" or it is our "goal" to get rid of it. Both approaches are misguided and can lead to attachment of "trying to get rid of it". Pain body is a collection of our past memories and unresolved, often hurtful physical and ...

Re: Feeling of Sadness

Thank you SandyJoy and runstralis. SandyJoy: Gratitude is definitely something I tend to forget. As with any gardens, there can be and often are "weeds" that pop up or are there perpetually, any suggestions how to approach these "weeds"? Acceptance or weeding? By weeds, I am referring to people/idea...

Re: Feeling of Sadness

Why does that make you sad? Could there be an unconscious judgment at work? Could attachment not serve some greater purpose beyond what the human perspective can perceive? And isn't it also just a matter of greater clarity to see beyond the sadness? I don't doubt the value or purpose of attachment ...

Feeling of Sadness

Hi all, I have been reading this forum and thought I would ask a question to see if anyone have any suggestions or insight. I read a question about "not believing anything anymore". I too have similar experiences but there is an undercurrent of sadness. This sadness comes from the understanding of t...
