Re: To search ... or not to search

You often hear something like: "Want to awaken? Abandon your search." For some, acting on this -- giving up the search -- might be just the ticket. But for many of us, abandoning the search translates to falling back on one's conditioning, one's ego/self. And that's a dead end. So I'd say, if you'r...

Re: There is no external world

I trust my senses more than my mind. My senses tell me that the universe exists :)

Re: After being in hell for long time

Welcome :) Dissolving deep unconsciousness is the most difficult part of awakening, so it sounds like you have lighter times ahead of you :-) It can take 2-3 years to reduce the intensity of a heavy painbody with about 80 % - Eckhart Tolle says this in one of his retreats. If you can dissolve this p...

Re: Do things happen for a reason, or is it just blind chanc

If there is no free will, there is no need for spirituality in the world. However, humans can actively particpate in awakening. We can choose to be present. But this choice is only possible, because consciousness wants to evolve. We are attention shifters as well as observers, in my experience. It's...

I had not thought about that, theoretically that must make the wind blow harder :D

It is proven scientifically that time is relative, but its only a few milliseconds in a hundred years or so. A very small difference.

A thousand words

You should see this funny movie with Eddie Murphy, it has a lot of depth. The name of the movie is "A thousand words". The movie has a spiritual theme and it is obvious to me, that the producers of the movie are interested in spirituality themselves. The main character loses his ability to speak and...

Re: Some gems from ACIM

Ramana Maharshi suffered from cancer late in this life. Physical illness is natural.

The sickness created by the painbody is an illusion, I think this is what ACIM is pointing to.

Re: On Thoughts and Free Will

It seems to me that life and experience occur regardless of belief and belief is just an experience of holding dear a thought that can only be a description or generalization of what is, as no thought appears correct in and of itself. Well said :) Live in the state of "not knowing" but with a heart...

Re: I can't get over the past

There is only one way to deal with this - stop thinking about the past. Everytime you notice it, stop it. Without thought there is no past, without past there is no pain :-)

Maybe because you live on a mountain? Time passes a little faster when you are further away from the center of Earth.
