'Unhappy' is a thought

Post by Phil2 » Sat Apr 26, 2014 9:12 am

Here's an interesting video from Mooji.

Unhappiness is a state of mind created by thought. In this sense unhappiness is 'optional', it is a 'choice' ... unhappiness or suffering does not result from external conditions, it results from the resistance of thought to 'what is'. When one does not surrender to what happens in his life.

Mooji quotes Papaji: "You need nothing to be happy, you need something to be unhappy"

Nice.

I had a mini epiphany a while back, that I didn't need to *do anything* to get "in the zone" (present, aware) ... I needed to *not do anything." Which is perhaps the hardest thing for us humans to (not) do. Expecially when the seas get choppy.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily ...

Pharrell would be proud... Sing along people:

"Clap your hands - if you feel - that unhappiness is not for you"

Yes Pabs, reminds me this quote from Blaise Pascal, which has also been quoted by Tolle in one of his talks:

“All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone.”
