Secrets in Words

An insight came to me while exploring the well-worn no-self concept. It's common for those espousing the idea of there being no self to engage the regular use of pronouns. 'I' being the most common. It led me to consider the process of identification and how we adopt mental concepts to establish a human identity on top of our more fundamental sense of self. I have often stated that we are not what we 'think' we are.

So what are we if we have a sense of self yet the concepts born of thought are generally distortions of self? Not that that is a bad thing, it's just a particular perspective that brings certain experiences in life.

I have written before on the idea that we are each 'unique perspectives' within an infinite consciousness, each with the full potential of that infinitude. Consider an interesting play or breakdown of the word 'identification'. 'I'dentification. Here is a multidimensional analogy. Imagine Infinite Consciousness as an orb. It is the fundamental singularity of conscious being.

Then consider specific points of view within this orb capable of perceiving the whole of the orb from each unique point. Kind of like a bunch of dents on a gigantic ball. Each of these dents is an individuation - an I perspective capable of perceiving the entire Orb. May we call them 'I' dents. So for each unique dent you have an I dent ification.

Taking this a step further, each Identification, being a unique perspective within the multidimensional all powerful Singularity, may choose experiential explorations within its own uniqueness and further allow/create I dents for unique explorations such as a human experience. So the sense of self originates from the Singularity of Conscious Being and permeates all individuation and identifications throughout all levels of exploration and being.

The quality of falseness in regards to self is then related only to the thoughts/beliefs identity that we create, not the greater aspects of the Original Singularity of Consciousness. Consciousness and Self is Essence and inviolate. That I am a man or a woman, a doctor, a lawyer, a baker, a candlestick maker are all aspects of a thought/belief manufactured identity that is no more than a suit of clothes on the genuine essence of self. While the manufactured identification will eventually pass away and be seen through, being and self awareness abides.
