The more that I looked at my own suffering, the more I saw it in every single person around me.

At my last job, I went out with coworkers for happy hour, and I was talking about the four agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. One persons first reaction was to use the agreements as a tool to condemn another coworker.

"_____ Isn't impeccable with their word!"

The irony is that through practicing these types of teachings, you move away from attacks and criticism. The teachings are unifying, not separating. The solution is not found externally, it is found internally. When you understand the processes that exist within you, you are able to see them in others. Where there was once misunderstanding, there is now understanding.
