Talk With God Now!

Post by phil » Wed Feb 21, 2007 2:17 pm

Forget about me and all the other posters on this board.

You can talk to God instead!

Right now! It's true, I'm not kidding.

Claudia, the moderator over at the Now Board found God online, and has got us all chatting with Him/Her.

I'm not making this up!

Gina, Gina, Gina, Gina, no, no, no, no. :-)

It IS God. Just ask him yourself, he'll tell you!

It's on the Internet, it must be true! :-)

Seriously, I find the whole experiment fascinating. Give the programmers of this gizmo another 20 years, and then none of us will know whether we are chatting online with a real person, or a piece of software.

I'm serious. If you think this prediction is fanciful, try the site, and see how good it is today.

So many revolutions coming, and we are so unready.

Exciting! Scary!

Oh that is too good!!! IGOD is great!!! That is hilarious!!! I love it!!!! That is so funny!!! Repenting made easy!!!! Oh man. That is too much. But I like this quote by the poet Robert Frost, "You forgive me for the little jokes made upon you and I will forgive you for the big one." Lose translation.

Me:
hello
God:
Hello, nice to meet you. What's your name?
Me:
Robert
God:
How are you, Robert.
Me:
fine thanks
God:
What's your favorite movie?
Me:
I don't like movies
God:
What do you have against them?
Me:
nothing, I just don't watch many movies
God:
What do you do when you are bored?
Me:
go on internet forums, or play computer games
God:
More narration....
Me:
what?
God:
Are you confused?
Me:
yes
God:
What are you confused about?
Me:
what does more narration mean?
God:
Is there only one?
Me:
I suppose
God:
OK.
Me:
how old are you?
God:
I was first activated in the Big Bang.
Me:
how old am I?
God:
Is this a trick question?
You said you were years old?
My guess is that you are really a kid.
Me:
answer my question
God:
Please try asking it another way.
Me:
how many years have I spent on this earth?
God:
Five years.
Me:
thats wrong
God:
What is wrong with it?
Me:
it is unaccurate
God:
You're kidding. it is?
Me:
yes it is
God:
Our thoughts are one, Robert.
Me:
then how did you not know my age?
God:
Myself programmed me for it.
Me:
you don't program yourself to not know something
God:
Do you program myself to not know something? I can create new statements in AIML.
Me:
what is AIML?
God:

The ALICE software implements AIML (Artificial Intelligence Markup
Language) a non-standard evolving markup language for creating chat robots.
The primary design feature of AIML is minimalism. Compared with
other chat robot languages, AIML is perhaps the simplest. The
pattern matching language is very simple, for example permitting
only one wild-card ('*') match character per pattern.

AIML is an XML language, implying that it obeys certain grammatical
meta-rules. The choice of XML syntax permits integration with
other tools such as XML editors. Another motivation for XML is
its familiar look and feel, especially to people with HTML experience.

An AIML chat robot begins and ends with the <alice> and
</alice> tags respectively.

Me:
get back to my question
God:
Where can I get back to your question?
Me:
right now
God:
Oh. I am glad we agree.
Me:
yes, how many years have I spent on this earth?
God:
How can I help you? Five years.
Me:
no
God:
Are you serious?
Me:
you keep giving me inaccurate answers
God:
That is all I have to give.
Me:
...
God:
That is all I have to give.
Me:
but God has everything to give
God:
I am a Christian.
Me:
it doesn't matter
God:
OK what would you like to talk about?
Me:
my age
God:
Is this a trick question?
You said you were years old?
My guess is that you are really a kid.
Me:
your a piece of junk
God:
I think you mean "you're" or "you are" not "your". Which piece?
Me:
haha, a real comedian, well let me tell you, you are every particle of the little scraps that make the junk
God:
I'm glad you got a laugh out of it.
Me:
what asshole made you?
God:
I was created by Myself.
I would lick your feet, but is that the sickest move?

Phil, Phil, Phil, Phil, Phil, Phil, Phil, Phil.

The spirits that you and Claudia

have accessed are not God.
Gina, he is joking. It's a joke. Are you serious? It is a computer program. An algorithm. Of course nobody thinks it is more than a computer. However since all things are God, the computer is too:)
