Favorite Quotes

I was listening to one of my Gangaji audio clips, and she said something that just...

I wanted to share this quote with you, and decided to start a new thread for this purpose exactly. I invite everyone to share their favorite quotes. Whether it is from a book, a speech, a song, a poem or whatever... if it's somehow related to Eckhart Tolle's theme, and you find clarity and inspiration in the words, share them with the rest of us.
You are not who you think you are, and who you think you are will never be free, but who you are is already free. -- Gangaji
"Be sincere; don't ask questions out of mere interest. Ask dangerous questions—the ones whose answers could change your life."

Well, that is strange. I hold another quote very close that is similar to the one above, but has a different ending, yet with the same slant. And I don't have any idea who said it first! Certainly not me.

It's:

"You are not who you think you are, and neither are you who you fear you might be - so, take heart." :)

I always took the 'take heart' thing to mean don't get daunted or disappointed. But I see it from a PON perspective to mean take the heart centre, not the ego of who and what and why,

Nice thread. I love quotes.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I'll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase each other
doesn't make any sense.

Why are you unhappy?
Because 99.9 per cent
Of everything you think,
And of everything you do,
Is for yourself -
And there isn't one.

a kingdom full of kings,
found ever larger pleasures,
in ever smaller things.
