"Meaning" is assigned by ego/mind. It's ego/mind which looks for meaning in possessions, power, wealth, education, position. Wake up and you'll see how ridiculous it is to look for something in all of that to give "meaning". Then life is enjoyed just as it unfolds in a spontaneous way. Then there is no more chasing after the latest shiny new "toy" because you think it will make life more complete or more enjoyable. It's complete just as it is; you are whole just as you are; there is enjoyment in everything just as it is.

Anything you want to, silly! And maybe even enjoy it.
But still the littleme inside my head cant help but feel discontent that its not in a presence of two hot chicks(who chant MY name) on a yacht during a pearfect summer day.
Fine, so which is worth more to you, the kind of day you had yesterday or the fantasy about the chicks and the boat? Because I dont think you can have both at the same time.

Who decides how you define your happiness, you or your mind? To the mind there will ALWAYS be something that you lack. The mind is forever unsatisfied. Get the boat and the chicks and within 20 minutes the mind will be dreaming up the next big thing, and your soul will ache just as bad as it does now. See the truth in this and be done with it.

To live in unworry is to know that you always have exactly what you want.
If you stop believing in fear, is it still scary?

Wow, i like all the answers.
But still my ego would enjoy being loved by these two chicks for a long time. Ego has laws. One of them is that it will always enjoy proportionally to the love/respect it receives. That is why Mara asked Buddha in Little Buddha "will you be my god?" to tempt him. :)
Sorry traditional forum posters, but in some porn movies its obvious that the best male stars clearly enjoy the amount of pleasure they give to women and that their egos are constantly in heaven because of it.
Or on rock concerts Mick Jagger is always in extacy because of the amount of love he gives to all his fans on the concert.

It's alright BrahmanEternal, most people live their lives never recognizing their natural state. It is a matter of priorities. Overcoming such hypnotic attractions in life requires a higher attraction. Without it, one is likely to continue to seek pleasure over peace of mind.

The thing about living life through ego, is that it is a life lived smaller than one lived in presence. The happiness lived through the pleasures of which you speak, are the domain of ego. They are short lived, and desire for ever more intense experience puts one at risk of addiction.

But again, there is nothing wrong with that. It is what it is. It is a cause and effect world. Whatever you immerse yourself in becomes part of your world view, and part of the ego identity. If that immersion creates limitation in your experience, so be it. There is nothing wrong with experiencing life in limitation. What ever you choose, accept it's effects fully. In that way you may maintain your integrity and be less likely to fall into the blame game of victim mentality. "Why oh why is this happening to me?" or "Why is this not happening to me?"

There is no escape for the ego (that perception of individuality) from its own choices. Live in illusion and loose the freedom of clarity.

It's okay, really. Life goes on.
