Seekers in England
Seekers in England
Hi
I was wondering how many other people there are on this forum, seeking enlightenment that live in England?
I want to achieve enlightenment but belive it would be quicker and more fun to do it with other people rather than on my own
Ideally I'd like to meet up with likeminded people
Please reply to this thread with the city you live in and what you're seeking
International wisecrackers are also welcome
Ok I'll go first
I live in Birmingham (most of the time, I travel a lot) and I want to achieve enlightenment in the next 5 months
The time limit is arbitrary, if I make no further progress for 5 months then I will no doubt return to this path later in life

Hiya Mate,
I dont understand why you want to 'achieve enlightenment' in 5 months??
Anyhow, if you cant achieve living in the present moment... now, 5 months or five years aint going to make any difference.
I live in Middlesbrough, read 'the power of now' a year ago and its the only thing that opened up that 'ahhhhhhhhhh now i see' dimension in me.
My minds a right cheeky monkey, as are everyones so it chatters constantly. But it only takes a few conscious breaths, or feeling the inner body to remember 'i am not my mind'.
Yes as yet i still inhabit my mind 90% of the time but Eckhart Tolles books/cds have taught one thing, 'It takes no time to be who you are'.
Hmmmmmmm i havent answered your question have i lol.
If your near boro anytime i would like to meet up sure.
Take Care

5 months
Hi Paul, I'll give ya shout when I'm next near ya
5 months because if it doesn't happen in that time then I'll keep what I've learnt and move on to improve other areas of my life
No sense bashing away at something for years if there's no progress being made, may as well accept it and move on

I'm chilling down in London.
I would lick your feet, but is that the sickest move?
Re: Seekers in England
I'm in the states, but would love to come to London and hang out with you all.

Onceler,
Yeah wouldn't it be lovely if you could come here to England and we could all hang out? We can have some tea and scones with jam and clotted cream
