Infuse yourself with lyracism....

Post by L. Bryson » Mon Jan 09, 2006 10:13 pm

One of my favorite sayings! Lovely work David.
Today I am accepting a minor lack of energy due to the remnants of a virus. Which brings to mind a line from a poem I recently composed....

" Do not bathe my sad remains in a citrus glaze" LOL!

Thank you for the compliment. :D

I'm sorry to hear youve been feeling ill. But it sounds like it's on the way out. That's good. Had your condition been worsening, I would have suggested that you choose the glaze you want your remains to be bathed in right away. That would head off any post mortem confusion. And you would not have relatives arguing.

"He's going to be bathed in a proper citrus glaze and that's all there is to it"

"But I happen to know that he hated the idea of being bathed in a citrus glaze"

"Well he never said a thing to me about it"

etc. etc.

Isn't having your ego squished the goal?

Sometimes my meditations inspire a poem too.

Little Path

Little path I love you so. How many times have I traveled this way
before? Beyond all memory?

You are full of wonders, my little path. The sweet scent of flowers,
the call of a mother bird to her young, the vital hum of all life
surrounds and fills me with joy and wonder overflowing. From you I
see that all is the blessing of That which is all.

On you, my little path, I travel through golden fields, among great
and ancient trees, along calm blue lakes, and crashing gray seas. I
see the village and the city buzzing with life and creative energy.
My eyes search the sky and suddenly I am gone into limitless flight.

Oh little path, I love you so. You share with me your fellow
travelers; the small, the strong, the great and humble. All your
lovers come this way.

My little path you are my joy. On you my feet are sure. To you
my heart felt blessing flows.
BLESSINGS, PEACE, JOY
