THE Perfect Spiritual Song

Post by weichen » Wed Jun 25, 2008 7:12 pm

When I read this song (Can't you feel the love tonight from 'The Lion King') carefully, it seems to be the perfect spiritual song. WOW, every sentence, every word is spiritual.

Casual comments in red:

There's a calm surrender to the rush of day (essense of spiritual practice)
When the heat of the rolling world can be turned away (painbody retreat)
An enchanted moment, and it sees me through (my identity is clear at now)
It's enough for this restless warrior just to be with you (restless warrior is the essence, the unmanifested)

And can you feel the love tonight
It is where we are (yes, we are love)
It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer (the watcher, pure awareness, wanders around and sees everything)
That we got this far (drove evolution thus far)
And can you feel the love tonight
How it's laid to rest
It's enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best

There's a time for everyone if they only learn (humanity evolve to the next stage)
That the twisting kaleidoscope moves us all in turn (the manifesting power of the unmanifested)
There's a rhyme and reason to the wild outdoors (inside is simple)
When the heart of this star-crossed voyager beats in time with yours (one with universe)

I think it was written by Tim Rice who also penned the libretto of Jesus Christ, Superstar: ( "To conquer death, you only have to die...).
