Maybe awakening while still alive is due to the "voluntary suicide" of the ego!
Well, sort of. What isn't real to begin with can't commit suicide.

Wouldn't dying be waking up?
No...dying is just dropping the body...but usually the dream continues ("afterlife", "reincarnation", etc).

Exactly.

a lucid dreamer who has no care about siddhis or trying to control the dream.

So what does this lucid dreamer do when not dreaming - what is his waking world like?

Been just dreaming for eons...sometimes lucidly and sometimes not. When the dream is over, duality and form will not exist (there is no waking world or to be like...those are forms).

So could you clarify who wrote the words below (from http://eckhart-tolle-forum.inner-growth ... 671#p31671 ), was it Eric the dream or the lucid dreamer?
eputkonen wrote:Having “dislike for the situation” can take more than one form. The key is…you may not like it, but if you accept it…it will not bother you so much. Kind of like dogs barking at night when you are trying to fall asleep…this happened to me recently and the instance seems relevant. Instead of resisting it…i.e. “this shouldn’t be”, “why can’t they shut up”, “great, I have a meeting tomorrow”…etc, etc…I just accepted the dogs barking. There was nothing I could do about it (or at least nothing I was prepared to do)…that was clearly seen…and so “what is” (the dogs barking) was totally accepted and surrendered to. The dogs barking seemed to fade in the background and where no longer problematic…I soon fell asleep. I did not suddenly stop disliking the barking (I would have preferred quiet)

1. So which world is Eric Putkonen in?
2. What would you call the world that would be where I (great2be) would be if I awoke from the day dream?
3. Is Eric a dream or a dreamer?
4. Does Eric or anyone have any control over the contents of their dreams?
1. Eric Putkonen is the label for a character or personal in the waking dream some call real life.
2. That is just it..."great2be" never wakes up. That "I" is also a part of the dream.
3. Eric would be a dream.
4. Yes. Lucid dreamers are known for realizing they are dreaming and then controlling their dreams. This is where siddhis or spiritual powers come in.
So who is writing these responses, Eric the dream or a lucid dreamer with siddhis?

There are contradictions here Eric.
Do you see them?

No contradictions yet, Eric the dream and the lucid dreamer are one and the same...but if you ask me to choose who is writing the response - the later is more accurate than the former.

I say no contradictions yet, but they will surely come if you persist in questions and listen to me long enough...in the end the most direct pointing seems to be a paradox.
