Looking to Start a Social Support Group

Post by Amorbis » Thu May 19, 2011 11:06 pm

So ever since my awakening and the sissolution of my ego, i've been feeling very directionless in regards to what I really want to do with my life (outer purpose- currently university student, not going so well). I've contemplated on numerous occasions that this entire experience is completely meaningless for the main reason that the world of form does seem to give me any meaning any longer with the only exception being perhaps the occasional chance or planned nteractions with my friends and yet even there , i've been feeling inferior towards them on numerous occasions as I no longer feel that I have much of a life anywhere in comparison to all of my friends who are ever so busily involved with their intersts, goals, ambitions and desires. It for this reason that I've had the the idea of establishing the idea of a real-life social support group for all the individuals who may have feel completely "lost" after their awakening and the dissolution of their egos and who aren't really sure what to do next (or just not really interested in all the things that they've used to enjoy) or what the meaning of all of this really this or maybe just experiencing great difficulty in sticking to their life paths or just plainly feel aimless or ambitionless, unmotivated- not really sure what to do with no time and all..

So for anyone interested, i guess, feel free to respond below- i'm currently residing in Toronto, Ontario so if anyone's intersted feel free to message me- if enough people express their interest, then i should have a regular meetup social kind of event taking place very soon where we'll all properly get to know one another and hopefully convince one another that this experience is not meaningless in whatever way shap and/or form and in doing so, establish a regular real-life network of support for anyone who might feel like giving up (as I have often in questioning the ultimate pupose of all of this). Feel free to drop me a line- i guess the more people express their interst the better- I guess i've been looking to establish a regular meeting for those between the ages of 18-25 but anything outside of that age category is alright as well (just looking for people a bit closeer to my own age).

Hey there...that's a really great idea..I feel it helps to connect people in real life. You might actually have your work cut out for you. Have you heard of this website meetup.com ? I use it quite often and I've met some amazing people through the different groups I'm in. There already exists a group for Eckhart Tolle in Toronto...you might want to join and check out their next meeting. I'm linking it for you:

Here are some other groups you might like:

I go to the ones in New York and there are people of all different ages, which I find to be great. Good luck and have fun!

Amorbis, please describe this awakening.
"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players"
