An avatar, what’s that? It’s a little image that accompanies each of your messages. This little image represents you. They allow you to be identified easily, and they allow you to expose a facet of your personality. You may use your own photo, or any picture that you would like to represent you.

The avatar that I am trying to use won't fit. It is 150x150. Does anyone know how to make it 140x140?

thanks, Clare,
is that what it is? A cho ku ray?
I saw the symbol and liked it, not knowing what it represents or anything.
Do you happen to know where it comes from, or what it means?

Hi Summer,

The symbol you chose is the fundamental symbol for Reiki healing energy. All schools of Reiki use the cho ku ray; some use two - the other mirroring the one you have as your avatar - so sometimes there are two symbols drawn, one with each hand. These symbols are signed with the hands into the aura at the time of initiation into Reiki (along with other symbols, depending on which form of Reiki you do) and are used to send healing or initiate healing when doing hands on work

Cho ku Ray is a power symbol. It is often taught to Reiki students as being 'the power switch'. It is a morse code to the universe saying "Put God Here".

It is prounounced either "Choe Koo Ray" or "Show Koo Ray" depending on which form of Reiki you do.

Very auspicous of you to choose it! Wow.

Oh Yes, I am definitely talking about the patriatrchal, judgemental, right wing guy with grey beard sitting on a throne up there. You know that, Heidi :)

SEriously I did think I should have said God/Goddess or Divine Energy,
I am finding I use 'God' more these days, though. just because it's short and because I don't feel I need to make a distinction anymore. It goes without saying.

:)
Clare

Edit: With grey bread??? Hahaha!
