It seems to me that the "ultimate perspective" mentioned in the clip is an illusion.
It is a "nice" perspective, but not ultimate...
The ultimate perspective may not even exist.

I enjoyed listening to him, but the contrived scene was just that, contrived, and therefore I question whether the "angry energy" conveyed by the person was actually present - and people who are actually angry tend to hang on to their anger with more tenactiy. In other words, it's not convincing (to me at least) that it's an authentic display of "dealing with an angry person". That being said, I think there is something to this guy. Thanks for the link.

Oh, welcome to the board,

This kind of reminded me of a story about a dutch comedian,
speeding on a highway,
and escaping a ticket, despite being pulled over.

He was pulled over by a motorcop.
The comedian lowered his window, and the cop told him kind of angrily that he was speeding.
The comedian gave the officer a blank look, put up his indexfinger, and mumbled:
"...sorry officer, just a sec...."
The comedian opened the glove-compartment and yelled fiercely into it:
"Oi ! You guys ! Less coals !!!"

I will have Jim respond to your comments about his ultimate perspective if he has time.

With the angry scene, I promise you I planned to come at him with as much anger as possible. Maybe my description was a little confusing because it is more how he deals with a person that is angry at him, not just by nature. When I approached him, I was sure that I was going to lay it on him, insult him, etc, but I just coulddn't. I am an experienced actor, I was not trying to make Jim look good, and I just couldn't do anything but what I did.

When he said "I'm sorry brother", he really connected with me and I just couldn't continue being angry at him; I more wanted to connect back. And the rest of the scene was completely improvised. I made it up on the spot.

I appreciate the replies and that you watched my video. I will have more coming, with more intense scenes to watch, more intense than the one you've just watched.

I hope you're all enjoying life!

I'm sorry, I would say this is a very unrealistic depiction on how to handle anger. I would even say that in real life, this sort of condescension would make an angry person much angrier.

I don't see how he is being condescending. It felt very compassionate to me.

Campaz, you don't have real anger toward Jim. More likely you feel a sense of love and admiration for him - and it shows. Even if you could act out a more realistic expression of anger it would still be just an act. Whatever followed in terms of your interaction would also be an act. Your easy acquiescence to his open heartedness demonstrates your true feelings.

It may be a useful exercise for children, but I think most on this forum are a bit more experienced than that.

Thanks for your efforts though.
