I guess there's a time limit on how long you take to finish a post?! I just spent a couple of hours carefully telling my story of how I got to this point, being on this forum - including how impatient I am with story telling these days - and when I clicked Preview I was taken to the log in page! The whole thing is lost. I'm too exhausted/frustrated to do it again. Later, maybe... :x

Sorry about that - I don't really know if there is a time limit before it logs you out. I've lost posts too that I was composing - very frustrating. If you are taking a long time to compose one on site you can periodically hit the "Save draft" button below the composition field. Or, compose it in your word processor and then paste it.

Edited to add: Welcome to the forum.

Kiki,

Thanks. Yeah, I think I'll try the paste method next time.

Here's what works well for me: When you are trying to submit or preview a post, and it takes you to some other place in cyberspace, hit your back arrow first. It will usually take you back to your post/reply page intact. I use FireFox and it has always worked well in saving my post. Of course I had to lose a few to discover this simple trick. Good luck and welcome to the forum.
