Hi everyone!
I am from Italy (so I like pizza and pasta. Cliché, but it's true :))
I am 43. For all my life I've tried to understand things and, at this point I can synthesize in one sentence all I've learned: I know nothing. That's it. Now I do not know if it is wise to throw the heavy knowledge away, or if I should keep some part of it. This dilemma makes me feel confused. Maybe that is why I'm here :).
Thank you all for sharing your insights, doubts, difficulties and thoughts: I am really enjoying your discussions

Hi Atte72!
Good to have you here. Interesting name, may I ask how you came up with that name?

Imp, It is true: ironically, it takes time and knowledge to know that we don't know. But maybe only because we have forgotten simplicity, so we have to travel a long journey to undo the extra structure of our minds. What to keep? For example, I have been studying astrology for years. May I keep at least that? :) (I am kidding now). Well maybe all this has already been discussed here. I need a little time to do some reading within the forum before I start discussions.

Vivianamis, Atte comes from attebasilE, which comes from this story: when I was four or five, preschool, I had to copy my own name from a blackboard. But I didn't know how it had to be done, so I copied it from right to left. When I came back home, at first my mother could not understand what it meant. Then she was "enlightened" :): it was my signature "Elisabetta". From that moment on, I have been Attebasile, short Arts, for my mother. 72, of course, is to remind myself that, even though I feel like a child, I am 43 and have gray hair :)

I enjoyed how you came up with your name, atte. It sort of reminds me of my forum name. When I was first learning to talk I would be asked my name, and I would respond "Kiki", which was my rendition of Keith.
