A Seeker from Colorado USA

Post by harlin » Tue Dec 04, 2018 2:55 am

Hi,

I hope everyone is doing well.

My spiritual background is:

- Raised Roman Catholic
- Going along with my mom to Unitarian meetings when I was about 15 or so.
- Getting into Protestant Christianity and Calvanism.
- Getting into Anglican Catholicism.
- Going to AA to help with a drinking problem and as a result of the 12 steps becoming very interested in spirituality (which I thought I was practicing as a Christian but discovered that I was not applying anything I had learned from Christianity from the very beginning).

I found some others in AA who were going through a book called A Course in Miracles and after working through some of it, I gave a listen to some of the teachers I found online. Of these, Eckhart Tolle seems to make the most sense to me at this point.

I am here to ask questions from any readings of ET's books and have some discussions on related topics.

Blessings to you.

-Harlin

Welcome Harlin. Kudos on surviving all that indoctrination. Who knew it could be a blessing to not pay too much attention in church?
Enjoy the forum.
