Hello. I'm new here. I was introduced to the idea of being in the here and now 12
years ago in a spiritual class I was taking. I stopped attending the class 4 years ago and have since spent times in the present and times everywhere but the present. I found an Eckhart Tolle book in the library and have since listened to some of his CDs. I am hoping that joining this community will give me the support I need to choose to consciously stay in the present more and more often.

I'm 65, and when I look at the age distribution of posters, I'm wondering how it happens that older posters (older than me) are so few, even considering the obvious age demographic explanation.
I'm wondering if my age group - growing up and influenced by the 60s counter culture - marks some kind of socio-cultural divide. I have brothers over 70, but I seem to have more in common with people younger than me.

Don't mean to start a new topic, but does happiness diminish with age?
