Wow! Just looking at the dates here, and seeing how I found you all in the early days of this adventure.

The same friend who told me that I had to read "The Power Of Now", also told me about this website.

Many thanks to Eric and Heidi, and kiki and Webwanderer, and all of the other great people who have made this such a special sancturary to visit. So many seeds sprouting in this garden of "The New Earth" :)

In following a conversation on the Oprah website regarding discussion groups I found a reference to this board.

Odd though it may be, I had a troublesome health issue that I wanted to address.

I googled 'health & healing words' and found a reference to Eckhart on page 6. I found there, someone else's summary of The Power of Now, I read it over and over, the words resonating deeply for me. I knew I had found something of huge importance. That started a transformation within me, & the next day I wanted to find out more about the truth behind those words, who ET was & to network with others who had experience of transformation.... & googled ET forums.

Thank you so much to the forum administrators and forum users for making this information available & sharing their stories.

New to the forum. Actually, I did use Google with keyword Eckhart Tolle after a friend recommended I look into his work and from Google I then stumbled upon this forum. So maybe I should go back to the survey and put in GOOGLE? Looking forward to being a part of the forum in my small way. :D

Welcome to the board, jax. You might want to consider changing the color on your signature to something that isn't so hard to read. Enjoy the board.

An acquaintance of mine mentioned it to me + since we are both Freemasons I chose the name "Mason" so that he would recognise me if he ever ran across me here.

My partner mentioned to me that a friend of hers had seen ET Oprah and had found the forum thru google. I have called eckhart "my man" for the last 5 years and have had many interesting discussions with dogma bound seekers, epecially the odd priest. Looking forwad to sharing the journey.

Found from Google search after reading the opening Chapter of The Power of Now. I'm a Reformed Church Minister (UK) - and was at a seminar on the new spirituality led by Adrian B Smith - Catholic Jesuit background - who mentioned Eckhart who I had never heard of before!! For a list of Adrian's books see this link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-url?%5Fencoding=UTF8&search-type=ss&index=books-uk&field-author=Adrian%20B.%20Smith.
The opening chapter of The Power of Now was as everyone claims - a powerful source of insight into the power of the minds chatter to enslave us.

I'm going to find new ways to bring all this in as part of my pilgrimage from "religion" to "spirituality".

Hi John, welcome to our forum. Does "Reformed Church Minister" refer to the church, or the minister? :D

Well, either way you're welcome here. Tolle is a great source for gaining clarity and insight into the nature or self. About the only source better is direct experience from within. Enjoy the forum.
