Animated icons next to headings

Post by E1lycat » Tue Feb 24, 2009 7:33 am

Sorry if this has been posted before but I can't seem to find anything about it..
Is there a reference list to what the little animated icons are besides each heading/topic? I understand that scrolling your mouse over them shows a little pop up message saying 'New Post' or 'No new post' but there seems to be a whole range of icons there, eg. black ones, ones with stars, scrolling red ones. I feel it might make it a little easier to navigate this site with some knowledge of this. Thanks!

Good question, and I'm sure Eric can answer it more fully.
(Ha ha, when I first saw your post I was thinking you were talking about animated avatars, which I often find unpleasant kinetic disturbance to the peace of the cool blue board :)

When the icon is red it has new posts you haven't read yet.
When there's a star, it's a topic you have contributed to.
When it's scrolling (I think) it's a very active topic.
When it's black there's been no new activity.

Thanks heidi :D

What if it's black and scrolling? It's actively inactive?
And yes please, if Eric can answer it fully :D
